Straw Man #1. Science has never argued that the universe came into
being by chance. The universe follows the laws of physics and
chemistry. What results may be chance, but THAT it results is not
chance at all.

The fossils show evidence that all of the species were
originally created by God and they did not evolve into one another.

Lie #9 They're coming thick and fast now!

And wading through all this Creationist ***** gets tiresome.
The fact is that Creationists pretend to argue science, but they do so
with theological motives, and they never do it in scientific forums.
They prattle crapola like the above in newsgroups, on websites, and in
tracts aimed at laymen who will mistake their pseudo-scientific
blather for real science. Those who repeat such arguments in
newsgroups are often well-meaning dupes of professional propagandists
like Gish and Morris.

I really enjoyed reading this post, but how do you figure liars are
well-meaning? Isn't this propaganda part of an attempt to enslave us? Even
if those who repeat it did not think it up themselves, aren't they still
trying to get power over everyone else, and be part of a tyranny?

In fact they want to bring the intelligent down to their level of
intelligence where circular logic, facts based on zero or twisted
evidence, and imaginary beings abound. Where woo-woo and superstitions and
invisible beings, critters and other nonsense like "grace" abound and
reign supreme.
Every fundamentalist xtian that tries to prove with science that
creationism, GOd, angels, or any other abstract facet of their religion
has had to resort to lies, twisted logic, gross disregard for scientific
procudure, willfull creation of false data not to mention doing stupid
things like C14 dating the shell of a shellfish and a number of other
deceits that any amateur scientist would be ashamed of.
Then they make the assumption that because it is too complex or too
difficult for them to understand that their invisible friend performed
some magic and made it out of a handful of dust and some water or better
yet from nothing at all. Then to toop it off, they have the arrogance to
announce that othere are too stupid to understand what their feeble minds
cannot grasp. What a pile of pure, distilled, sanctified ***** these
xtians spew.
I refuse to deconstruct the rants of the xtians morons that try to shove
creationism down my throat as if it were fact when in reality creationism
is lie after lie on top of lie.
Next thing you know they will claim that the fossils are only 8000 years
old and that god placed them here to test our faith. After that they will
say god gave them warts or syphillus or the flu to test their faith. Here
is something that will test your faith. Tell the frigging truth for once
in your life. But don't tell the truth to others, tell it to yourself. Be
honest with yourself then be honest with others. Quit regurgitating these
alleged facts that are lies. Educate yourself. Learn why it is wrong to
perform certain tests on certain substances. Research the fossil record
and see the evolution as it occurred over thousands and millions of years.
Start by calling intelligent design exactly what it is. It is
creationism. Calling something another name to confuse and mislead is
deceitful. When one says something with intent to deceive or mislead, it
is called a lie. Quit lying!!!!
Every single time current knowledge fails to explain some occurance, why
is it there people all run back to their religion and say "God did it!".
It is exactly just that sort of thinking that keeps people from the
advances we need to get off this planet. In case you didn't know it, this
planet is doomed, destined for destruction, will be torn asunder and
engulfed by a star or ripped out of its orbit. So if you want to have a
future for mankind, quit stifling and confusing the future scientists that
are now in classrooms. If we don't find a way to get off this planet then
you can kiss everything goodby and you will go to hell on top of it. Why?
Because by your actions you caused the star drive to not be invented
which would save the human race. In effect you have murdered millions of
people just because you wanted to show that god did not create and use
evolution.

If you repeat a lie believing it to be truth, are you a liar?
No, just a fool, a dupe. I've only encountere two KNOWING liars
prating Creationism in these newsgroups. People who I was sure knew
better.

Isn't this propaganda part of an attempt to enslave us?

Not really. It's part of a concerted effort to get religion taught in
the public schools.

No, I don't think so. Not in their own minds. If they succeed, you and
I may well consider it a theocratic tyranny, but they would consider
it a benevolent enlightement.

No, their leaders might enslave the world, as Christian leaders have
done before, but the 'white trash' would be willing slaves right along
with you.

Excuse me; I've been there; done that. I've lived in the South under
Christian rule, and even lived in a Christian cult commune. There is
absolutely nothing benign about the people who promote this toxic mental
garbage. If you don't believe me I suggest you go to a medium sized town
where Christians are in control and see how well you like it. The wreckage
of many lives is strewn about like so much human living garbage. Not just
derelict weaklings, but promising young people have their lives regularly
ruined.

Of course not. But it's benign in THEIR minds.

Sure. And all the while they believe they're doing 'The Lord's Work'.
If you want to see the extremes to which that sort of thing can go,
check a history book on the Spanish Inquisition. The priests had only
the welfare of their victim's souls in mind as they burned them at the
stake. It was their idea of good Christian love, and no that wasn't
cynicism, they really believed it.
