Australia was formed as a convict settlement. The first church built in
Australia by Rev Johnson was burnt to the ground and the culprits were never
found.
Due to him most Aus's rejected the church.
A little more complicated than that ... but you are right that most Aussies
don't attend church. Authority and Aussies do not mix.
