righteous and you also do not want me to express my views, opinions
and beliefs on what you seem to think is your personal NG.
Why? Are you an atheists? If you are, why are you trolling a
"Christian-teen" NG? Btw I know a lot of atheists who are a lot more
righteous than many Christians. Unfortunately being righteous doesn't
guarantee heaven. Heaven is not for those who believe themselves to be good
and righteous, not even by popular acclaim. Heaven is solely occupied by
forgiven sinners.
This kind
of self righteousness is exactly what the Atheists prey upon in your
supposed "Christian Doctrine" which seeks to reprove them for
non-belief.
You got that reversed, for Christians, yes even Christian Teens, know
themselves to be sinners, not at all "righteous" especially not
"self-righteous".
Now you seem to want to do the same to me.

Whatever you
said was not "academic." It was belief based. I was speaking to that.
I don't follow you. I was not advancing my own ideas but those of
Timothy. In fact you don't even know whether I am an atheist who chose to
debate the opposite from my beliefs as a challenging exercise, or whether I

Looks to me like this Pastor Frank is trying to impress gullible teens
with
his Christian stuff.
Perhaps you haven't noticed, that these are CHRISTIAN teens, not atheist
teens, as you suppose.
You have to ask 1) What sort of pastor is he? Is he
an ordained minster as I am,
Are you an "ordained minister" in the atheist faith?
or an archimandrite as you are? It's no great
accomplishment to become a pastor. And 2) why teens? Maybe he just wants
to help lost and confused youth to find the One True Way. Or perhaps he's
got other goals that are less well-supported by the Bible (and the law).
You just can't tell who is who, on the Internet. This guy could very well
be someone who ought not be talking to any kids... and his harsh,
heartless
attitude appears not to adequately reflect the teachings of his so-called
hero, Jesus. He seems to be saying, "Never mind what Jesus taught, here's
what the Bible says".
Tell us why you spend so much time finding something wrong with others,
instead of finding something right with Christ and His words? You also fail
to evidence your accusations as to anything "harsh and heartless" I
supposedly said. Perhaps you care to document that? Surely, being an
"ordained minister" you would know the name of "the adversary" who never
proves his point, because he is a liar and the father of all lies, and
evidence might prove him right, don't you?

2TI 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, according to
the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus,

This was a letter to Timothy from Paul. Only real mistake in this post.

The passage say's, "for instruction IN righteousness", not to instruct the
righteous. If we were righteous on our own, we would need no instruction.
This is a crucial point of Christianity.

There are many athiests who live a better life than some who call themselves
Christians. In a human sense, they may be more righteous.
However, in God's eyes;
Romans 3:10 As it is written:
"There is no one righteous, not even one; NIV
Not acknowleging the Creator is only the first step in unrighteousness.
There are many more steps.
The path to forgiveness is first to acknowledge the Creator, and then accept
His forgiveness that is offered in His Son.
So, it is not that the atheist is any more or less righteous than
Christians. It is that to be a Christian, one acknowledges the Creator, and
accepts His offer of forgiveness and reconciliation to Him in Christ.
