Jesus Christ is the Son of God;
he paid for our sins and gave his life
on the cross to give us eternal life,
and God raised him to life again.
That is Jesus as the gospel declares,
and those who believe have eternal life.
Our part: BELIEVE (be fully persuaded)
that Jesus is ALL our salvation.
The immediate result: ALL our trust
is placed on JESUS for our salvation.
The immediate result of that:
Jesus Christ comes into our heart,
and we HAVE eternal life.
The result of that:
We walk in love as Jesus walks.
But the world has departed
from the truth of the gospel that is declared
by the Bible and the Protestant Reformers.
Billions of people,
including many Protestants,
are trusting themselves for salvation
(by their resolve, efforts, churches),
trusting at most only partly in Jesus.
But the truth is: The only way to heaven is
Jesus Christ the Son of God.
