Prayer is a wonderful and woundrous way to communicate with God anytime,
anywhere.

Too bad the communication is strictly one way.

Not necessarily so. God's work in regards to prayer; answering prayer in the
form of action for instance; is one way He communicates back to us.

Predates the internet, the telephone, the telegraph, the mail,
runners, etc. in terms of communication. And it's faster than all of
those,
too.

Yeah, but all those other methods allow two way communication, so
they are vastly superior. Of course, they are only supposed to
work with people that actually exist, so they aren't really
comparable to prayer at all.

Since God exists, prayer does work.

I have personally experienced God's answer to prayer and I have
witnessed the power of prayer in others' lives as well.

Could you expound on this a little? I suspect that god's answers
were indistinguishable from your own thoughts. Am I wrong? If so,
how did god answer you? Has he ever told you anything that you
didn't already know? I doubt it, but if I'm wrong, I'd like to
know.

The specific instance to which I refer is bringing the woman that I've been
happily married to for over 21 years. God answered my prayers that I had
been praying for years. It was done on His time, in His time and His perfect
time. There was no way either my wife or I could have orchestrated all that
had to happen to bring us together. So in my humble opinion, it was God
communicating with me via His action in my life. You'll probably reject all
of that and that's your perogative but it won't change my mind nor the minds
of many believers who have heard my testimony or have had similiar incidents
in their lives where God answered their prayers.
May God bless,
Carl
