The Shroud of Turin depicts someone
approx. 80 years old. It destroys the historical sense of the
entire New Testament, esp. the "Good News."
Believers are stuck with this lead necklace; it can only
hurt them. Anyone who ever affirmed the Shroud's authenticity
knows he is finished, trapped. His 'fifteen minutes' are over.
His faith is wiped out; there will be no eternal life, just ignoble
rot.
Yes your Shroud is only another attempt at placing something else
in the way of the faithful.
It is also part of the Beast to put artifact worship in the way of
The Creator Worship.
M,
Hello,
The shroud also does not conform to some Bible data etc. First, the
shroud with the image on it, is not mentioned in the Bible, or by any
writings of the 1st century, or 2nd, or 3rd, or 4th, or 5th, even
though many wrote about miracles from relics, none mention the
appearance of the shroud. If it didn't exist then, that would explain
why.
Jesuit scholar Herert Thurston relates how 15th and 16th century
people commented on the shroud. He said that they "describe the
impressions on the shroud as so vivid in detail and colouring that
they might have been quite freshly made."
Also the burial cloth of Jesus was not just one piece? Notice Joh
20:6,7,
"Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb.
He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7as well as the burial cloth
that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself,
separate from the linen." (NIV)
So there were several cloths, with a separate one around Jesus' head.
Also, the body could not have been washed, since there are bloodstains
on the Shroud. But that would have been unusual for the Jews. The
first century Jewish historian Josephus said that, unlike some of
their enemies, "the Jews used to take so much care of the burial of
men." Was Jesus body prepared the customary way? Joh 19:38-40,
"Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now
Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the
Jews. With Pilate's permission, he came and took the body away. 39 He
was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at
night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about
seventy-five pounds. 40 Taking Jesus' body, the two of them wrapped
it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with
Jewish burial customs." (NIV)
As we can see, they followed the normal custom. But what did this
consist of?
The body was first washed and then oils and spices were used to anoint
it. (Acts 9:37; Matt. 26:12) Thus the Scriptural account suggests that
the body was washed and bound with myrrh and aloes according to the
Jewish custom. All was completed except the anointing with oil and
spices, which the women intended to do the following Sunday morning.
(Luke 23:55, 56; Mark 16:1)
Thus, the Bible evidence does not support the Shroud of Turin as being
Jesus' burial cloth. At any case, God's true worshippers do not need
the shroud or any other religious artifacts to help them in their
religious worship because they "walk by faith, not by sight." (2 Co
5:7, NAB)
Sincerely, James

The immage is none other then the one that invented it in the first
place.

It is just one more stumbling block Satan is placing in front of
people that do not know better and they fall over it.
It is also part of the Beast to put artifact worship in the way of

Yes The first commandment says you shall have on other gods before
God the Father in Heaven, so satan is putting that piece of trash
in the way of those that are falling But the real Christain know
what it is all about and will just throw that all out with the
rest of the Deceptive Religeous do on do on do.
Jesuit scholar Herert Thurston relates how 15th and 16th century

Sure that is about when it was made.

Now you are defending the shroud?
Even though they did not have time to wash the body for it was only a
few minutes until the start of the passover holy time for the Jews.
"Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now
Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the
Jews. With Pilate's permission, he came and took the body away. 39 He

it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with

Joseph was a rich man and had the Crip cut out of stone for himself
and placed the body in his own Cript.
As we can see, they followed the normal custom. But what did this
consist of?
The body was first washed and then oils and spices were used to anoint

I must agree it is totaly not of the Bible.
But it was a good try at more "TRADITION" of the RCC to add
to their rellic worship

The Holy Shroud of Turin is authentic. It is real. I have seen it with

Oh yes it is authentic but it is has not come anywhere close to
Jesus as they are trying to pass it off as being the burial cloth of
My Lord.

Maybe it did exist then. John 21:25.

The image is neither paint nor picture. Scientists say the only thing that
could have imprinted the shroud is an intense flash of light. Does the
handiwork of Jesus rising from the dead come to mind?

ON the outside maybe. The fold over of the shroud is not in question.

Either quote scripture or don't. The sabbath was upon them, and they needed to
act quickly.
Oh well, enough of that.
