Can anyone enlighten me these questions

1) Before Jesus, was there any other biblical figure with that name,
and since Jesus, were there any other biblical "Jesus's". I know there
were quite a few Mary's in the life of Jesus. Similarly, were there
other Moses's or Abrahams

Hello,
Yes, there were other persons named Jesus, other than Jesus Christ.
Notice the details from this Bible encyclopedia:
"1. The name I·e·sous' appears in the Greek text of Acts 7:45 and
Hebrews 4:8 and applies to Joshua, the leader of Israel following
Moses' death.-See JOSHUA No. 1.
2. An ancestor of Jesus Christ, evidently in his mother's line. (Lu
3:29) Some ancient manuscripts here read "Jose(s)."
....4. A Christian, evidently Jewish, and fellow worker of Paul. He was
also called Justus.-Col 4:11." (Insight On The Scriptures, Vol. 2, p.
52)
Concerning Moses, he appears to be the only one mentioned in
Scripture.
Concerning Abraham, the same is true with him.

2) If the four gospels were translated from Aramaic/Hewbrew into
"Greek" where are/were the original documents?

Good question. It sure would be nice if we had them since it would
clear up a lot of disputes among religious folk. But so far, all we
have is copies. But those copies generally go back very close to the
originals, and after having been thoroughly examined by scholars, are
found to be accurate enough to be worthy of representing the word of
God. (see 2 Ti 3:16)

3) Are the deaths of Joseph and Mary covered in the bible.

Concerning Joseph, his death is not mentioned in the Bible. As that
same Bible encyclopedia above says,
"Joseph's death is not specifically mentioned in the Scriptures. But
it seems that he did not survive Jesus. Had he lived beyond Passover
time of 33 C.E., it is unlikely that the impaled Jesus would have
entrusted Mary to the care of the apostle John.-Joh 19:26, 27."
Concerning Mary, her death is also not mentioned in the Bible.
I hope the above Bible information and Scriptures, have helped to
answer your questions.
Sincerely, James

Re: Three questions about christianity

Can anyone enlighten me these questions

If you read Luke 3, they are tracking David's line down to Jesus. Verse 23
reads, Jesus (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.
Notice nothing about Mary's line.
James slips in the EVIDENTLY IN HIS MOTHER'S LINE, as that is what he wants
to believe. Certainly not biblical. Refer also Matthew 1.

Matthew 27:16-17
And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom
will ye that I release unto you? [Jesus] Barabbas, or Jesus which is called
Christ?
According to the United Bible Societies' text, Matthew 27:17 reads: ". .
..whom will ye that I release unto you? Jesus Barabbas [Greek: Iesous ton
Barabbas] or Jesus which is called Christ [Greek: Iesous ton legomenon
Christon]?"
Several manuscripts including the Caesarean, the Sinaitic Palimpsest, the
Palestinian Syriac lectionaries and some of the manuscripts used by Origen
support the fact that Barabbas' name was Jesus Barabbas. It is believed
that the name Iesous was deliberately left out of many manuscripts for
reverential considerations. They did not want the name Jesus associated
with anyone who was a sinner.
Barabbas is made up of the Aramaic words br meaning "son" and aba meaning
"father." Thus, "Barabbas" from the Aramaic means "son of the father." The
choice of the the Judeans was to release "Jesus the son of the father" or
"Jesus who is called the Christ" The counterfeit chosen by the crowd was
Jesus Barabbas - a notable prisoner, a robber, a man imprisoned for sedition
and insurrection - a murderer.
Now if you will read Mark 14:36
And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away
this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Jesus called his father Abba.
So, in reality, even though there is no recorded history of there ever being
a custom of releasing a prisoner at the Passover, the bible makes it seem
that there was a choice of who to release.
Ans that choice was between, Jesus son of the Father, and Jesus who is
called the Christ.
A little joke in the bible that no ones knows about.

originals, and after having been thoroughly examined by scholars, are

In reality, there are only copies of copies of copies. Religionists will
like to claim that they have a fragment (usually a verse), that date real
early.
But the fact remains there is no originals, and no one can date the copies
with any accuracy.

3) Are the deaths of Joseph and Mary covered in the bible.

Concerning Joseph, his death is not mentioned in the Bible. As that

One of the beauties of the bible. IT SEEMS. And it's UNLIKELY.
Smile.

Concerning Mary, her death is also not mentioned in the Bible.

I hope the above Bible information and Scriptures, have helped to
answer your questions.

Ditto!!

There is a tomb of Mary (Mother of Jesus) mentioned in Ed T Martin's
book 'King of Travellers - Jesus' Lost Years in India', where
Mary died on a pilgrimage or journey to India.
She did not survive the journey and died.
I don't think you should just look at scripture alone - look towards
actual locations and their local legends. Go to the source, which
the above author has done. Made the actual journey himself in search
of information.
