What was Jesus specifically responding to? It was
the Temple BUILDINGS, NOT THE WHOLE SITE!

And btw Glenn, this shows that yes indeed, Matthew 24
and Luke 21 are parallel accounts, contrary to your
dumbass claim!

It was the Temple building itself and not the rocks
it sat on, so your desperate attempt to try to ignore
the destruction of the Temple, won't work. Sorry!

A foundation is laid and one can build WHATEVER
on top of it. It isn't part of the BUILDING ITSELF.

Only a complete moron, would know that the Temple
was burned and torn apart, STONE BY STONE,
with EVERY STONE being pried apart, to retrieve
the melted gold that ran in between it, within 40 years
of Jesus saying it and try to claim that the prophecy
wasn't fulfilled and wait for another Temple to be
built! DUH!!! Especially considering that God had
that Temple destroyed and every sacrifice performed
there, after the death and resurrection of Christ, was
an abomination before Him, since it spit in the face
of what He did through His Son! DUH!

But you futurists go ahead and keep trying to convince
us that Jesus REALLY meant, "Not this one, even though
my words will be fulfilled to the letter! I really
mean another one that will be 2,000 years from now,
so it can be all about them!". <chuckle>

Of course, He REALLY meant the 21st century!
After all, why would He say, "that generation",

that when you mean a distant generation, you say...
"this generation"! That's just common sense, right? (:

The futurists are such a kick! :) It seems that normal
rules of language and common sense go out the window,
but only when they open their Bibles. Put the same
words in any other writing and they'll insist it's just
as it's written and means the generation that the
person is speaking to. :)

And of course, as they claim, when Jesus and the
Apostles talked about His return and used the word
"YOU", they REALLY meant some generation thousands
of years in the future! :)

And btw folks, when they post something to you, from
now on, don't respond. And when they ask why you're
ignoring them, just say...

"Oh, were you talking to me? I didn't respond, because
you started your sentence with the word, "YOU" and so
I naturally assumed that you were REALLY addressing it
to some generation that would read this message
thousands of years from now."
