The Bible agrees with you concerning religion and politics. Jesus told
his followers at Joh 15:19,
"If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is,
you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the
world. That is why the world hates you." (NIV)
Historians tell us that the early Christians never got involved in
politics (or even the military). Rather, their highest political
leader is God, and pray for His government (kingdom) to come and take
over these faulty human governments. Mt 6:10,
"your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
