Koran (Arberry translation is my favorite), and yes, I can find
some disturbing stuff, and I can also find a lot of beauty. Same
for the Bible. Sorry I can't find anything like that in the
Buddhist texts, but the "experts" in Japan and Vietnam apparently
found plenty of religious excuse to justify atrocities...

What do you want to emphasise? Violence or peace?

The point is, by choosing to represent only the violence in the
Koran, you are doing the same thing the mullahs of murder are
doing in the Middle East!

That's how you get these crazies like that shoe bomber from
England to sign up. People with hate in their hearts hear you
and the mullahs of murder, and bingo, you've got them converted.

As long as non-muslims like you keep promoting Islam as a
justification for evil, you will keep seeing non-muslims joining
the "faith" and finding others like themselves to reinforce
each other, and sharing in the bloodbath.

What if people started just ignoring the violence in the Koran,
and instead emphasised the good? There IS a lot of good in the
book, you know.

But it's just a sales pitch. Don't fall for any of that.

Does the good ever outweigh the bad in any religion? Probably not.
