... the entire universe is already the physical
evidence of the spiritual God.

That's right.
"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the
firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day
uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth
knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where
their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out
through all the earth, and their words to the end of
the world" (Psalms 19:1-4).
So nobody has any excuse for their free-willed
rejection of God's existence.
"Because that which may be known of God is manifest
in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the
invisible things of him from the creation of the
world are clearly seen, being understood by the
things that are made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because
that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as
God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their
imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools"
(Romans 1:19-22).
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God"
(Psalms 14:1).
"Know ye that the LORD [YHWH] he is God: it is he
that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his
people, and the sheep of his pasture" (Psalms 100:3).

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and

To come to know God, one must believe in and obey

"If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples
indeed" (John 8:31).
"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he
it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be
loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will
manifest myself to him ... Jesus answered and said
unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my

Why does this all powerful creator, all loving and
caring intelligent designer, create Plagues,
Tsunamis, Tornadoes ...

Many instances of these could be caused by Satan, and
not God. Other instances could simply be the natural,
temporary, result of the fall of man into sin.
"I reckon that the sufferings of this present time
are not worthy to be compared with the glory which
shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation
of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the
sons of God. For the creature was made subject to
vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath
subjected the same in hope, Because the creature
itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of
corruption into the glorious liberty of the children
of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth
and travaileth in pain together until now. And not
only they, but ourselves also, which have the
firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan
within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit,
the redemption of our body. For we are saved by
hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a
man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope
for that we see not, then do we with patience wait
for it" (Romans 8:18-25).
"For which cause we faint not; but though our
outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day
by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a
moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and
eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the
things which are seen, but at the things which are
not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal;
but the things which are not seen are eternal"
(2 Corinthians 4:16-18).
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the
first heaven and the first earth were passed away;
and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy
city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of
heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,
Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he
will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,
and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor
crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the
former things are passed away. And he that sat upon
the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And
he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and
faithful" (Revelation 21:1-5).

May not actually be pure.
"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed
into an angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14).
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the
spirits whether they are of God: because many false
prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye
the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And
every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ
is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that
spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it
should come; and even now already is it in the
world" (1 John 4:1-3).
"I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled
Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be
corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For
if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we
have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit,
which ye have not received, or another gospel, which
ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with
him ... For such are false apostles, deceitful
workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of
Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is
transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is
no great thing if his ministers also be transformed
as the ministers of righteousness" (2 Corinthians
11:3-4).
"Brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I
preached unto you, which also ye have received, and
wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye
keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye
have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first
of all that which I also received, how that Christ
died for our sins according to the scriptures; And
that he was buried, and that he rose again the third
day according to the scriptures" (1 Corinthians
15:1-4).
"Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver
us from this present evil world, according to the
will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever
and ever. Amen. I marvel that ye are so soon removed
from him that called you into the grace of Christ
unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there
be some that trouble you, and would pervert the
gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from
heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that
which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man
preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have
received, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:4-9).

what I'm talking about here. I'm not asking you to
follow your own mind. I'm asking you to follow your
own heart. They are not the same.

In ancient times, the heart, when referred to
separately from the mind, is still, just like the
mind, in no way infallible:
"Walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of
their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being
alienated from the life of God through the ignorance
that is in them, because of the blindness of their
heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves
over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness
with greediness" (Ephesians 4:17-19).
"His heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in
pride" (Daniel 5:20).
"And Jesus answered him, The first of all the
commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is
one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all
thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the
first commandment" (Mark 12:29-30).
Jesus was quoting from the Old Testament:
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD [YHWH] our God is one LORD:
And thou shalt love the LORD [YHWH] thy God with all
thine heart" (Deuteronomy 6:4-5).
So if we do not yet love YHWH with all of our hearts,
our hearts must still be imperfect and impure:
"Know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with
a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD
[YHWH] searcheth all hearts" (1 Chronicles 28:9).
"Purify your hearts, ye double minded" (James 4:8).

I have announced the news of Jesus' return.

Jesus has not yet returned. But He warned us clearly
that there would be many impostors before His return:
"And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed
that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my
name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many"
(Matthew 24:4-5).
"If any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ,
or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false
Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great
signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were
possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold,
I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say
unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth:
behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
-For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and
shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming
of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is,
there will the eagles be gathered together.
|
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall
the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her
light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the
powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall
appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then
shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they
shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send
his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they
shall gather together his elect from the four winds,
from one end of heaven to the other" (Matthew
24:23-31).
That shows what the true return of Christ will be
like, as do the following passages:
"If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even
so them also which sleep [are dead] in Jesus will God
bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word
of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto
the coming of the Lord shall not prevent [precede]
them which are asleep [dead]. For the Lord himself
shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we
which are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord
in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord"
(1 Thessalonians 4:14-17).
"I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and
he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His
eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were
many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man
knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a
vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The
Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven
followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine
linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a
sharp sword, that with it he should smite the
nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:
and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and
wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture
and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND
LORD OF LORDS.
|
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried
with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly
in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves
together unto the supper of the great God; That ye
may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of
captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh
of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the
flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and
great. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the
earth, and their armies, gathered together to make
war against him that sat on the horse, and against
his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the
false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with
which he deceived them that had received the mark of
the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These
both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with
brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword
of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded
out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with
their flesh" (Revelation 19:11-21).
"The Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with
his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance
on them that know not God, and that obey not the
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be
punished with everlasting destruction from the
presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his
power; When he shall come to be glorified in his
saints, and to be admired in all them that believe"
(2 Thessalonians 1:7-10).
The same Jesus Christ of Nazareth who ascended bodily
up into heaven from the Mount of Olives, east of
Jerusalem, must descend bodily from heaven to the
Mount of Olives:
"This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into
heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen
him go into heaven. Then returned they unto Jerusalem
from the mount called Olivet" (Acts 1:11-12); "Then
shall the LORD [YHWH] go forth, and fight against
those nations, as when he fought in the day of
battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the
mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the
east" (Zechariah 14:3-4).
That also shows that Jesus is YHWH, as does the
following:
"The LORD [YHWH] is my shepherd" (Psalms 23:1);
"I am the good shepherd" (John 10:14);
"I and my Father are one" (John 10:30).

No...... one pumps blood thru the body, as is the case with all mammals,
the other creates, among many other things, imaginary gods.
Life is not driven by gods it is driven by 'gratification'
from the simple earth worm to complicated homo sapien.
Religion is a form of gratification, another could be 'collecting postage
stamps'.

While God is not "driven" by gratification, even He
does what He does for His own pleasure:
"I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and
there is none like me, Declaring the end from the
beginning, and from ancient times the things that
are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand,
and I will do all my pleasure" (Isaiah 46:9-10).
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour
and power: for thou hast created all things, and for
thy pleasure they are and were created" (Revelation
4:11).
"The LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will
beautify the meek with salvation" (Psalms 149:4).
"It is God which worketh in you both to will and to
do of his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13).
"According as he hath chosen us in him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy and
without blame before him in love: Having
predestinated us unto the adoption of children by
Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good
pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of
his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the
beloved. In whom we have redemption through his
blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the
riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward
us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto
us the mystery of his will, according to his good
pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in
the dispensation of the fulness of times he might
gather together in one all things in Christ, both
which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in
him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance,
being predestinated according to the purpose of him
who worketh all things after the counsel of his own
will" (Ephesians 1:4-11).
"Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's
good pleasure to give you the kingdom" (Luke 12:32).

Religion is a form of gratification

The Christian religion offers eternal pleasures in
the presence of God Himself:
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence
is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are
pleasures for evermore" (Psalms 16:11).
"How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God!
therefore the children of men put their trust under
the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly
satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou
shalt make them drink of the river of thy
pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life: in
thy light shall we see light" (Psalms 36:7-9).
