Re_ Rape in the Bible |
OK. Here is the latest post for this thread:
First I am going to censure Mr. Will's post leaving only the good parts,
then I am going to keep an eye on my words. I am doing this because I feel
it is right and because I have the sure impression that when a woman
appearing in a dream is giving you a candy for the breath than there is
something wrong you are either telling or dealing with (-: I will try not
to top-post; if I do I will do it avoid scrolling. I will re-arrange
messages by date when possible. I will also rearrange your answers when they
are too long. The last thing I will do is to save your posts and publish
them in www.angelfire.com/empire/blustar if time allows it.

Rape In The Bible
Rape is one of the most heinous crimes imaginable. Yet few
people know
that rape is not condemned in the Bible. The Bible in fact
condones or even
approves of rape. How anyone can get their moral guidance from
a book that
allows rape escapes me. Perhaps they have been lied to about
the Bible and
carefully detoured around all the nasty stuff in the Bible.
So grab your Bibles and follow along as I show you all the
nasty rapes
that your priests and preachers don't want to tell you about.
Note that in
many places in the Bible there are references to "taking a
wife". Don't be
fooled into thinking that these were voluntary marriages. This
first quote
clearly shows that murder and force were used to "take" these
wives.
1) Murder, rape, and pillage at Jabesh-gilead (Judges 21:10-24
NLT)
2) Murder, rape and pillage of the Midianites (Numbers 31:7-
18 NLT)
3) More Murder Rape and Pillage (Deuteronomy 20:10-14)
4) Laws of Rape (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NAB)
5) Death to the Rape Victim (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)
6) David's Punishment - Polygamy, Rape, Baby Killing, and God's
"Forgiveness" (2 Samuel 12:11-14 NAB)
7) Rape of Female Captives (Deuteronomy 21:10-14 NLT)

The answers are right THERE in the bible. God approved of the kidnapping,
abuse and rape of virgin women. Non-virgins were to be slaughtered like
sheep. If a man raped a women in those days instead of punishing him and
helping the women, he was forced to marry her - with God's approval! Think
how the women felt about that. God evidently didn't CARE how the
raped/violated women felt. They were now forced to live with the mentally
ill sociopath for the rest of their lives.

Let's do some work here if anyone is willing to work
on it. I invite you to do your best to provide short and concise answers and
I promise that I will consider each one of your answers carefully.
Starting here:
Verse 1,2,3 of Genesis 6.
Do you see any difference in the way things were and that now are today
between man and God? And how would you see or envision that difference in
terms of spirit?

Thought it may be difficult to figure it out, there is a great difference in
the spiritual level that a man's body was allowed to dwell into when God
created man and woman compared to the spiritual level of our days.
These levels have changed over time and today we can consider ourselves very
lucky
to witness, through the word of God, the so called archeological
spiritual traces of these great events. One can see through the word of God
that man's spirit was not the
same as we see it now; it was rather greater than it is now and greater than
it was in the times of Abraham.
The reading of the Genesis implies that Adam and Eve had a higher spirit
level than we all have now. Only Jesus and a few Saints and Prophets were
able to get near such level or even show the full power of such a
spiritual achievement (i.e. Jesus was already born perfect and he did not
need to reach anything. He just needed to stay perfect).
But is God too big to fit in a human body? He certainly is. This is why He
only lives in the spirit of the human body.
If you now think about these following questions you will begin to get
closer to the
next answers which are necessary to understand the thread:
1) If God would have took full control of the human spirit or even interfere
with the human spirit would freedom be possible?
2) If there would be no way for God to match the human knowledge or human
understanding for any given time frame in the history of man, would any
spiritual evolution be possible or would any spiritual union be possible
between God and man?
3) How much of God would you think would be necessary to be transferred into
man's
spirit to keep a balance between freedom, man and God?

Again, here...it seams that there is nobody willing to try to answer to the
questions.
As you see I cannot publish this thread very easily without looking like
fool -even thought I am getting used to it - but I know that there are a lot
of eyes reading it and I know also that the Father -possibly the real
Father- appeared in my house in dream state and he was in my bathroom with
me and my sister. He didn't seam to care about the messy house and was even
going to have His own body discharged, feeling quite at ease and playfully
throwing a cup of powdery detergent at me. By this you should probably have
a clue on what a bodily discharge means in dream symbols. As we say "occhio
e croce" I think it means full acceptance of being in some else's house. You
may have more clues by reading alt.dreams these days.
So, back to our questions I think that the most proficient of you and
perhaps many of you have figured it out the answers.
Basically, God sits in our spirit in the proper amount, the minimum amount,
necessary for Him to make the communication between Him and us possible. If
God would have placed no limit to His awesome power and knowledge He would
have lighted us up like candles thrown into the sun. Therefore God grows
with us while being in us and He reason with us just by being one step
higher than us at any given time. He is one step higher than us and of all
the angels and creatures that are subject to our universe.
Being God, in a way, a witness and a volunteer prisoner of our own destiny;
being God a simple judge and a caretaker of salvation, we cannot absolutely
retain God guilty of whatsoever crime committed by the man under God while
man is granted the free will to grow under God. God did never take away the
pride of his people unless his people were about to commit spiritual suicide
or about to run away from salvation or from God's plan which was the plan to
save humanity from destruction.
Does it help even a bit?
Brake time.
