Object: Read The Bible ;
"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is
near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his
thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon
him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,
saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my
ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth
not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud,
that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my
word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me
void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper
in the thing whereto I sent it."
..

Read the whole Bible:
Leviticus 25
25:44 "'As for your male and female slaves who may
belong to you-you may buy male and female slaves
from the nations all around you. 25:45 Also you may
buy slaves from the children of the foreigners who
reside with you, and from their families that are with
you, whom they have fathered in your land, they may
become your property.
Leviticus 20
20:10 When you approach a city to wage war against it,
offer it terms of peace. 20:11 If it accepts them and
submits to you, all the people found in it will become
your slaves. 20:12 If it does not accept terms of peace
but makes war with you, then you are to lay siege to it.
20:13 The LORD your God will deliver it over to you
and you must kill every single male by the sword. 20:14
However, the women, little children, cattle, and anything
else in the city-all its plunder-you may take for
yourselves as spoil. You may take from your enemies
the plunder that the LORD your God has given you.
Ephesians 6:5
Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and
trembling, in the sincerity of your heart as to Christ.

This translation may be downloaded onto your computer at no cost if you go

The remarkable feature of the NET Bible is the large number of "translator
notes". These notes point out difficulties in translation, and textual
variations which are found in some manuscripts.

..Interesting translation and Bible indeed. I checked this scripture and
it alings better with the intended meaning and my understanding I feel.
(NET Bible)
17:32 Remember Lot's wife!
17:33 Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, but whoever loses
his life will preserve it. 17:34 I tell you, in that night there will
be two people in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.
17:35 There will be two women grinding grain together; one will be
taken and the other left."
17:37 Then the disciples said to him, "Where, Lord?" He replied to
them, "Where the dead body is, there the vultures will gather."
(KJV)
Luk 17:32 Remember Lot's wife.
Luk 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and
whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
Luk 17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed;
the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
Luk 17:35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken,
and the other left.
Luk 17:36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and
the other left.
Luk 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said
unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered
together.
I only wish the disciples would have asked "who took them Lord?"

I noticed that you are so used to the KJV's practice of presenting each
verse as a seperate paragraph that you did it here (with the exception of
verse 34,)although that is not the way it is presented in the NET Bible
translation. The practice hinders comprehension and leads to taking verses
out of context.

(KJV)
Luk 17:32 Remember Lot's wife.
Luk 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and
whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
Luk 17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed;
the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
Luk 17:35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken,

Luk 17:36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and
the other left.
Luk 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he
said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be
gathered
together.

The major difference in the two translations is the ommission of verse 36 in
the NET translation? That is explained in the "translator's comments" which
are accessed by clicking the rised blue numbers following the text:
92tc Several mss (D Ë13 [579] 700 al lat sy) add (with several
variations among these witnesses) 17:36 "There will be two in
the field; one will be taken and the other left." It is not well enough
attested to be original. Further, it is an assimilation to the parallel
in Matt 24:40, which marks the addition as secondary. The present
translation follows NA27 in omitting the verse number, a procedure
also followed by a number of other modern translations.

I only wish the disciples would have asked "who took them Lord?"

Yeah, I did botch the original paste. I noticed your paste did not
have numbers so I erase them. When I erased the numbers I changed the
verse format, to match the KJV format. I did study the Living Bible for
years as well as KJV.
That is so wierd, I cannot believe I did not notice that verse 36 was
missing, trip out.
To omit a verse just don't seem right, especially when it specifies men
as well as women.
I chose that scripture because I see it as one of the most
misunderstood teachings of Jesus in Revelation, and one of the most
important. I believe these are taken to the seat of the beast, the son
of perdition. Lots wife was not lookin' at Heaven.

How about inserting a verse which does not belong? I refer to 1 John 5:7 in
the KJV. It is known as the "Comma Johaneum". When Erasmus compiled his
edition of the Greek text for printing he left the verse out. Several
people complained because it was in Latin manuscripts. Erasmaus replied
that if somebody could show him a Greek manuscript which contained the
verse, then he would put it in. Thereafter somebody forged a Greek
manuscript with the verse, and Erasmus included it in his third edition.
The KJV follows Erasmus' text.

misunderstood teachings of Jesus in Revelation, and one of the most

Testimony About the Son
This14 is the conquering power15 that has conquered16 the world: our
faith. 5:5 Now who is the person who has conquered the world except the
one who believes that17 Jesus is the Son of God? 5:6 Jesus Christ is
the one who came by water and blood-not by the water only, but by the
water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because18
the Spirit is the truth. 5:7 For19 there are three that testify,20 5:8
the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in
agreement.
5:9 If we accept the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater,
because21 this22 is the testimony of God that23 he has testified
concerning his Son. 5:10 (The one who believes in the Son of God has
the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made him
a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has
testified concerning his Son.)24 5:11 And this is the testimony: God25
has given us eternal life,26 and this life is in his Son. 5:12 The one
who has the Son27 has this28 eternal29 life; the one who does not have
the Son of God does not have this30 eternal31 life.

We don't have Jesus' testimony. All we have is what other people claim that
Jesus said. Considering how often and readily New Testament writers take
parts of the Old Testament out of context, we have no guarantee that they
are not also taking the statements of Jesus out of context.

There is nothing common about common sense. If you want to cut out all the
nonsense, then the first thing you have to do is drop the asinine
assumption that the Bible is the word of God. Once you do that, then you
find that the Bible cannot stand on its own. Otherwise, you're trying to
prove the Bible beyond all reason.
