The Other Man on the Cross
One final word. ( Luke 23:42~43 ) When Jesus was crucified, two other
men were also hung on the cross. For what crimes
I'm not sure of but that is not my point. My point is, one of the men
seemed not to have followed the christian ways or The
Word of God. This man may have been a criminal but he asked Jesus to
remember him when Jesus enters God's Kingdom.
Jesus then told him, " Today, shalt thou be with me in paradise ".
This is one of my most favorite and important scriptures in the
Bible which shows us all how merciful and forgiving God is to us all.
This man asked to be with our Lord on his dying day and
he was accepted .When the end times do come, remember the man on the
cross who asked Jesus to remember him in Heaven.
The Bible mentions, One Hour With God is as One Thousand Years is to
man. I don't think one can use or interpret this
phrase as some sort of measuring stick relevant to past, current, or
future increments of time. In the fifth centuryA.D, a great
christian theologian named Augustine warned against taking the six
days of Genesis literally, saying that these were not
successive days. Evangelist, soothsayers and doomsday prophets have
tried to predict the End Of The World for over 3,000
years. In 1610 A.D. Galileo Galilei, who had built the most powerful
telescope of his time, was the first to discover the earth
moves around the sun. Up to that time the church believed the universe
revolved around the earth. The so-called church had the
scientist tried for heresy and Galileo had to deny the most important
astronomical discovery of his time . So beware of even
these so called churches who seek to hide the truth or mislead their
followers. The Bible clearly states that no man, nor the
Angels of Heaven know the end times exact date or hour, only God
Himself knows. The Bible does however make it clear to
be looking for certain signs of the end times and too be prepared.
Most alarmist are concerned with the antichrist's number 666.
Everything from bar codes, social security numbers, credit card
smart cards, microchips and even the rumor of a enormous computer in
Belgium, which is so large, had been nicknamed The
Beast. Actually, this computer does not even exist. This story came
from a August, 1976 Christian Life magazine article. These
are all good probabilities, as I have even mentioned them in my online
report. The caution one must use is not to be drowned in
so much speculative reporting. The mark of the beast may not be a
tattoo or implanted chip at all, but it may represent a
symbolic rejection of one's faith to God. But, the technology of
implanted chips, bar codes and scanners can easily be seen as a
tool for one such person as a antichrist or a government individual
who is drunk with power, could easily mark and monitor it's
citizens buying habits and movements in today's world. In the book
END TIME VISIONS author Richard Abanes makes this
observation. The word antichrist only appears two times in the Bible's
66 chapters, and both are in the the Book of 1: John and
2: John ( Actually, the word antichrist appears four times in John
1~2.).The word is used to describe anyone who denies that
Jesus is The Christ, anyone who rejects The Father and The Son, anyone
who refuses to profess faith in Jesus, and anyone
who denies Jesus came in human flesh. Richard Abanes feels that the
word antichrist is symbolic for ALL unbelievers ,and not
just one person. Richard Abanes also made these interesting remarks
concerning how Nero's characteristics made a interesting
generic match to the antichrist beast system mentioned in Revelation.
1. Nero declared that he be worshipped.
2. Nero persecuted the jews from November 64 A.D. through June 68 A.D.
3 1/2 Years.
3. Nero's name when translated to a numerical value equaled 666.
4. Revelations mention of those who kill by the sword shall die by the
sword, perhaps meaning Nero's
suicide by the sword. Many believe Nero faked his death and escaped
Rome.
5. Nero had coins minted saying that he was Almighty God and Savior.
6. Those who worshipped Nero received a certificate or mark of
approval-charagma. Those who
did not have this mark/certificate were prohibited from trade.
Reminding us of the beast system
mentioned in Revelation.
7. Also Antiochus IV Epiphanes was similar in generic background as a
forerunner to the antichrist/beast
system. Antiochus IV Epiphanes, ( 175-163 B.C.) also sacrificed a
pig on the alter in Jerusalem, forbad
circumcision and destroyed all the Books of the Old Testament that
he could find.
The Bible
The Bible is a collection of books written by many authors over many
centuries that is recognized by many as the inspired
Word of God to mankind. The first individual to write the Bible was
probably Moses over 1,400 years ago through the Word
and Inspiration of God. The first Five Books of The Bible are known
as the "The Torah" or "The Law" of God. The first Five
Chapters include Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy
which is believed to be written by Moses through
God's Word. The oldest known transcripts of The Bible are the Dead Sea
Scrolls that were discovered in 1947-48 A.D. some
where northwest of the Dead Sea in the caves at Qumran. The Dead Sea
Scrolls contain many chapters of the Old Testament
and have been dated to be written in the area of 125 to 100 B.C. The
first printed version of The Bible with a moveable type
was the Guttenburg Bible in 1455. The Bible was consists of many books
written over a long period of time by many authors,
many who did not even know the others. The Bible does have a unique
unity in that all the authors wrote through The Word
and Inspiration of God, His Son Jesus and The Holy Spirit.
Faith
It is my belief that too much emphasis has been put on archeology
findings, reporting, and dating of archeology artifacts.
Reports of The finding of Noah's Ark or The Shroud of Turin, which
some feel was the burial robe of Jesus Christ and even the
Dead Sea Scrolls mean nothing to me. FAITH is what counts and your
BELIEF in The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost
IS ALL THAT MATTERS. Even when Jesus had risen from the dead, some of
his own followers couldn't believe it was really
Him. Jesus then showed the crucifixion marks on his hands, the spear
mark in his side that was made by the roman solider to
prove it was really Him and that he had risen. My faith has always
been strong and I do not need evidence of His existence nor
do I need someone to show me a picture of Noah's Ark to change my
faith. I do feel that all the studying and reporting on
Armageddon and The Bible I have done might at least make people who
visit my web site to give some thought to salvation. If
anything I have written about has opened the eyes of a few people, who
then might be saved, it was well worth the effort.
Abomination of Desolation
In Revelation, for the antichrist to perform the Abomination of
Desolation, there must be an existing and functioning Jewish
sanctuary on the Temple Mount. Over the past 2,000 years the Jewish
Temple has not existed. Islam controls the area of the
Temple Mount and Two Mosques stand defiant as abominations the jewish
Rabbis. The last Jewish Temple was destroyed in
70 A.D. by the Romans. What is the Abomination of Desolation? It was
thought by some jewish historians to be the
prophecy of Daniel when the Temple was desecrated in Daniel Chapter 9.
Syrian general Antiochus IV Epiphanes
sacrificed a sow in the Temple around 168 B.C. Others believe the
Abomination of Desolation occurred in 70 A.D. when
Titus and his roman army destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple. To be
sure, these acts were a desecration of the Temple, but
Jesus points out the ultimate Abomination of Desolation will be
committed in the future by the antichrist, ( or some form ).
Many candidates through out history have been identified as the
possible antichrist, such as Nero, Mohammed, and in recent
history, Napoleon, Mussolini and Hitler. In the Book of Revelation we
are told the antichrist will set up or build some sort of
image in the Temple and appear to make it come alive, ( Revelation
13:15), probably by deception, computer imaging or some
other technology.
False Prophets and self proclaimed sons of God have flourished in the
last century. People like Jim Jones, ( The Guyana mass
suicide of over 900 in 1978. ) Dave Koresh's Waco Branch Davidians
tragedy.( over 70 members died in a stand off with
government agencies.) Marshall Applewhite's Heavens Gate Cult, ( over
30 members died in mass suicide in 1997. ) and other
self proclaimed Gods such as Maria Tsvygun of the Russian cult The
Great White Brotherhood. The list is endless with cults
becoming more radical as in case of the Aum Shinrikyo Supreme Truth
cult which gassed a Tokyo subway in 1995 injuring
more 5,000 and killing 12. Aum Shinrikyo's visions began as early as
1987 which he foreseen a Armageddon like war in the
years 1999 though 2003. Aum Shinrikyo, proclaimed himself as christ,
57 days after the subway incident. The religious fanatics
who crashed jumbo jets into buildings in The United States, which was
kwon as the 911 attack. These are preludes of worser
things to come. Terror comes in many forms, by bombs or by political
abuse as The Patriot Act Law, which was born after the
911 attack. The Patriot Act will grow into a more terrifying theology
which will be the base and the beginning of the monitoring
and the marking the human race.

excavated settlements dating as far back as 8,000 B.C. and body
remains of modern day man can be traced back 75,000
years. The Universe, as of 2004, has been dated at 14 billion years
old, and our earth at 3-5 billion years old.
