Object: RESOURCE POST: To Be an RRR Cultist, a Person MUST Have this DEFINING Flaw.
The DEFINING Flaw of the RRR Cultists
They are SO vocal, SO absurd, and SO high-profile, they get
FAR more press and attention than they deserve. Possibly it's
because most of them claim to be Christians. And America has
200 million or so of those. Thus, the news media and our politicians
may still have the mistaken impression that they are REPRESENTATIVE
of Christians. That perhaps maybe even MOST Christians are like the
squeaky-wheel types who walk around carrying signs with photos of
aborted fetuses on them. Or who protest loudly that "Those &%$#
faggots want 'SPECIAL' rights!" Or worse, beat them to death, or
shoot the abortion doctors.
They're giving Christians, and Christianity in general, a bad name.
Ironically, and unfortunately, fully 94% of America's professing
Christians are therefore getting a VERY bad rap.
That's because 94% of all U.S. Christians either ignore the above-
described cultists of the Religious Radical Right... or want NOTHING
whatsoever to do with them. Most Christians are quiet, tolerant
people who go about their daily jobs and bother no one.
So what IS it about the RRR Cultists that set them apart?
We could say that it's the disinformation they've soaked up like
sponges from their False Teachers who daily spew the phony and
unbiblical "we-must-impose-change-upon-the-world" dogma to all
two million or so of them over Christian radio stations. Teachers like
James Dobson, D. James Kennedy, Gary Bauer, Beverly LaHaye,
Jerry Falwell, and Pat Robertson, who have mostly abandoned the
Great Commission (spreading the gospel), in favor of pouring more
energy into their hateful vendetta against many of our individual
freedoms and rights. But... not ALL of them listen to Christian radio.
No. There is ONE flaw that is common to EVERY cultist of the
RRR. Without it, one cannot BE an RRR Cultist.
Busybodyism.
Consider the fact that whatever consenting adults may choose
to do in their own, personal lives, as long as they don't break the
law or overtly do harm to others and/or their property, that is their
OWN business, and no one else's.
So listen up, RRR Cultists (and in the case of abortion, Anti-
Choicers, who almost always are the *same* people):
(1) If a women CHOOSES -- from among the two available
and legal choices -- to obtain an abortion... that is
NONE of YOUR business.
(2) Homosexuals have sex with people of the same gender
and you don't? So what? No big deal. Why should
you care? No one's dragging you into their bedrooms
to watch, any more than you would do that to them.
Again: NONE of your business.
(3) Homosexuals seek EQUAL rights in the workplace.
NOT "special" ones. I have YET to EVER hear of
a gay person asking for "special" rights, or even for
rights that anyone could CONSIDER "special." That
is a lie, constantly promoted by the RRR's leaders.
They have been, and are, discriminated against
in the workplace. Often, the fact that they are
known to be gay -- EVEN THOUGH they are just like
the heterosexuals, except in bed -- is enough to
keep them from being hired, or enough to get them
fired. They want such discriminatory practices to
be illegal, and there is nothing wrong with that.
They simply want to be on an EQUAL playing field.
(4) Unmarried HETEROSEXUAL couples often are
unable to rent the apartments they want... because
they're unmarried! Can you imagine what would
happen to the landlord if he/she were to refuse to
rent to ANYONE just because the would-be renters
were BLACK? Good luck! They'd better have a
very good lawyer. And the practice is LUDICROUS,
because their renting to unmarried couples does
NO one any harm. And... guess what? Whether
or not a couple is married is NO one else's
business.
(5) Many (not all) homosexuals want the right to marry
their partners, and thus share the SAME benefits
(insurance, etc.) that heterosexuals who love each
other have. Well -- why not? This would do no
harm to anyone. but it would make our society
much more FAIR.
(6) The two biggest targets of the RRR Cultists are
abortion rights and homosexual rights. But gay
rights have three major aspects, an another of
those is the same as described in (4), above. There
is no way that being assured that discrimination is
NOT imposed of them could be, by ANY stretch
of the imagination, regarded a "special" right.
It is a CIVIL right, plain and simple.
Is there ANY biblical basis that the deceived Christians of the
RRR Cult can draw upon for to support their bigotry and busybodyism?
No. Neither Jesus, nor God, anywhere in the Bible, appointed Their
believers to be Their Enforcers, or Their Gestapo vs. society.
Does God disagree with any of the above-listed practices? Probably
not, as regards abortion. Nowhere does the Bible defend developing
human entities. It defends humanity only after a person has been born.
God is AWARE of fetuses (as some verses indicate), just as He is aware
of sperm and ova, and probably the position of every atom in the
universe. But he does not DEFEND them. In fact, defense sometimes
can be lacking, even for already-born, essentially innocent adults. To
see this most clearly, use the NIV Bible, and see how slaves are regard-
ed in Exodus 21:20-21.
As for the other points... there is significant evidence that He does.
However, it is the right of every individual to sort these issues out
with Him, if they so desire. Or NOT to, if they don't. The issues are
personal, all the way, and the business of NO other people.
DOES God condone enforcement by people of His laws and pro-
nouncements? Yes... but NOT the way the RRR Cult does it. There
is clear-cut instruction in the New Testament for disciplinary action that
can be taken against those who violate those. BUT... and this is a
HUGE "but"... those instructions apply ONLY to the practice of
CHURCH discipline by Christians, vis-a-vis disobedient FELLOW
Christians. NOT vis-a-vis society in general. In fact, there is even
a verse that PROHIBITS their doing that...
BOTTOM LINE: The DEFINING characteristic of RRR Cultists
is busybodyism. No sensible person would
be an advocate of discrimination. Nor does
even the Bible advocate it. In fact, the
Bible PROHIBITS it, vs. society in general, in
1 Cor. 5:12-13.

If those dudes are in "heaven" and are like Robert Winn, I'd be
overjoyed to be thrust out. I can't think of anything worse than
spending all of eternity listening to fundies preaching fire and
brimstone!
Winn's post reminds me of the joke about the atheist who ends up in
heaven. As they show him in, he first walks by the building for the
Muslim heaven (sounds of lots of people partying). Then he walks by
the building for the Jewish heaven (sounds of lots and lots of people
partying). Then he walks by the building for the Catholic heaven and
is told to be very, very quiet. He asks why and is told in a whisper,
"they think nobody else is here."

As for the other points... there is significant evidence that He
does. However, it is the right of every individual to sort these issues
out with Him, if they so desire. Or NOT to, if they don't. The issues
are personal, all the way, and the business of NO other people.

DOES God condone enforcement by people of His laws and pro-
nouncements? Yes... but NOT the way the RRR Cult does it. There
is clear-cut instruction in the New Testament for disciplinary action
that can be taken against those who violate those. BUT... and this

from the standpoints of immorality and being inhumane.

God will hold you accountable for your promotion of these evil
practices.

DEFENDING people and standing up for their rights is NO
vice, Winn.

Well, that is true. So when you advocate homicides of children, I
stand up for their right to live.

Jesus **commanded** his followers to be compassionate
and fair to their neighbors. I do my best to do that, and YOU
do your best to slap Christ in the face. Solly, Cholly, but I want
NOTHING to do with your mindless hate. SATAN is *your* God.
So pack an asbestos suit when you kick off.

Well, then killing children would not be a way of being compassionate
and fair.

If you were smart, you'd read the FACTS that I presented
above, and take them to heart, BEFORE you suffer that fate.

Sorry, but you do not speak for Jesus Christ. He is the one who will
judge this earth.
What he said about the kind of temptations you presented was, Depart
from me ye who work iniquity.

As for the other points... there is significant evidence that He

BUT... and this
is a HUGE "but"... those instructions apply ONLY to the practice of
CHURCH discipline by Christians, vis-a-vis disobedient FELLOW

In fact, the
Bible PROHIBITS it, vs. society in general,
in 1 Cor. 5:12-13.

You cannot make immoral and inhuman acts right by making
them popular.
