When will he come? Will he fly out of the clouds exterminating the
atheists, muslims, hindus etc with great balls of fire? Will he float all
the true Christian followers up to paradise in Heaven?

Why are you so obsessed with a bloke who lived in the middle east about 2000
years ago and you know very little about? It was only decided to make Jesus
a divine figure over 200 years after he died - and this was done for
political reasons. Jesus was just some bloke. Live with it.

I was curious as to where this idea came from? Many (all?) of the epistles
were written very closely (within one lifetime) of when Christ died. For
example, James, the half brother of Jesus supposedly wrote his book in 45-48
AD... And he certainly could not have written it 200 years after Jesus'
death--because then he'd be dead, right?
Do you have evidence of this "decision"?
