Sacrilegious Sanctimony v1.0 |

This is a discussion group. Not a "Here's my opinion, screw the rest
of you"
group.
angelicusrex: "Mark's "beliefs" are not a religious system, a system
of rites, rituals, prayers or even of spiritual growth. They are
beliefs which simply put, do not have any precedence in angelology or
religion. They are fully and completely made up. They do not work. He
offers no way to make them work. Therefore they are like clouds
without rain. Pretty useless."

I respect his right to have those beliefs, but the minute he
starts coming here telling everyone that they should believe his way
and
cannot support it with any sort of documented viability, those
beliefs may
certainly be questioned and tested. I have done both and found them
wanting.
you must
PROVE beyond some reasonable doubt that there are demons and devils
and that
somehow, one has transmigrated to the physical world and become me,
or
possessed me or whatever.
angelicusrex: "I just said no one can prove anything. So I CAN'T prove
what I just said."
angelicusrex: "I can draw angels all day long. I can't prove I saw
them."
angelicusrex: "Or it could be as I am beginning to believe - I've got
angels, you've got critters. I can't prove any of this."
angelicusrex: "No one can prove God does not exist. No one can prove
God does exist. One can only have opinions, assumptions and ideas, or
hypothesis."

Oh, get off your sanctimonious high horse, Nerd Gerl. You aren't impressing
anyone but yourself.

Try to remember, good hypotheses can be tested. I tried Mark's. They seemed
not to be viable. In other words they did not work. He did not try to help
me understand his hypotheses or help me get them to work. He just kept
saying I was "not pure enough of heart" (which to me reads that HE is pure
enough of heart to see angels and God, whereas the rest of us are not).
Putting people at the root cause of your faith's failure does not make that
faith very compelling. This being said, Nerdgerl's ideas are strictly out of
some bad acid trip. They don't work for ANYONE anywhere but herself...and
too bad they do work for her, because her "faith" seems to compel her to
keep bashing at me.
Using my own words of course just seems to be showing she is obsessed with
me. She can't seem to come up with an original harangue, insult or even a
thoughtful commentary on what I believe or think. She can't say I am wrong.
Because it would mean she would have to share her beliefs, which are totally
trippy, with the rest of us. Which she already did. No one even commented on
them. No one is allowed in her realm. (including her!) No one is certainly
allowed to speak against her beliefs or question them in any way. She takes
great pains to flame all those who do. Fortunately the beliefs are so
bizarre and extreme that no one can or cares to comment on them.
As we can see no one has even commented on this little debate we've been
having. Because no one is left here to do so...maybe Baruch will pipe in, if
and when he can get to a computer. But this flame war is so old that most
people could care less.
