It is important to remind people about the she-devil Ellen G. White
and her demonic spells when she was supposed to have made her
so-called prophetic teachings in what is specifically refered to by
crazy SDAs as "The Spirit of Prophecy."

White as I have never heard of her before then. Their belief is
that Ellen White is a true prophet of God. They do study out of
the Bible, but they also teach of things this Ellen White has
written about in her books. My friend said that Ellen's old
stuff is way out there, but her new stuff is right on the mark.
I wouldn't know one way or the other for I haven't read anything
from Ellen White. I hope this helps. Take care.

Though I am not SDA, I went to one of their universities. Among the
required theology courses (for non-theology majors) are studies on
Ellen White.
Her teachings along with the teachings of the SDA General Conferences
must be taken as infallible teachings for SDAs and are equal to the
Bible. In fact, in many of her so-called prophetic works which she
did while under a spell, she supposedly completes blanks in the Bible.
For example, she says that when Jesus rose from the dead, an angel
came into the grave and told him, your Father calls you.
Based on the latter, Jesus did not really rise himself but he was
raised by the Father. The orthodox faith among all apostolic
Christians as well as many Protestants is that Jesus "is risen from
the dead, the first fruit of them that sleep."

I am a Seventh Day Adventist, and although I may not completely believe in
everything that Ellen G. White writes about, I have to say that the church
itself is the closest thing to worshipping in the correct way, let me
explain, a pope of the Catholic church back in the 1100AD's changed the day
of worship from the Sabbeth (Saterday) to the first day of the week (Sunday)
to accomadate the Pagans of the time. Because of this the Catholic church
did other things contrary to God and Christ, like engraven images that are
worshiped, calling any man father but God is a sin yet what do you call a
Catholic priest? If we are to be in line with Christ and believe in him we
are to do what He did, He said that if you love me, do as I do, and say. It
is man that changed the day of worship wich is contrary to what God
instituted in the beginning. So yes, the Adventist Church has problems, but
worshipping on the correct day is not one of them, it is every other church
that follows in the mothers footsteps (Catholic) that is wrong no matter
what anyone else say's.

walked with us on earth, He followed the Sabbath set forth by His Father,
and He asked us to do the same, but I guess that so long as you truly
believe in God and Christ and the Holy Spirit that it does not matter what

long that your heart is in the right place with God and Christ.

Anyway, at the time that the Lord was dealing with me about salvation, I
checked out everyone and everything that claimed to speak for/about God. In
the course of this search, I ran across the Hare Krishnas, of all people.
The exact name of their organization is the International Society for
Krishna Consciousness, and their core belief is that God is watching us 24/7
and that we should live in a continuous state of the awareness that God is
watching us, that we are in His presence, and that we should act
accordingly.
The Hindu response to this is a completely different thing than what we
do as Christians, but it fundamentally altered my outlook on God when I did
finally get saved. I live in the continual awareness that He is looking
right over my shoulder all day, that even if I am busy I can still take
moments whenever I can find them and praise Him even then. He is watching me
always, and I am aware of that and try to live accordingly, taking the
promptings of His Spirit as they come continually, while offering up praise,
worship and supplication to Him always. It is a two way street, my heart is
a ladder that reaches towards heaven as our love flows up and down.
I hold each day alike as sacred and holy in the sight of God as I walk
towards the goal He has set for me.

That being said, I want to congratulate you on your very correct and
Christian answer to Bob's post. (i.e. that it does not matter what day of
week you worship...so long that your heart is in the right place with God
and Christ.) Which is exactly the response one should have according to
Romans 14. All of the hagling and discussion re the Sabbath would end today

That's the problem, Andrew resorts to Old Testament commandments to
observe the Sabbath and invokes the pre-incarnate Word as the Jesus
who says observe the Saturday Sabbath. You and others say this and
that verse can be inferred to mean Jesus says observe the Saturday
Sabbath. Yet every time Jesus does mention the Saturday Sabbath in
the New Testament, he only seems to weaken it or justify the breaking
of it by his disciples or the people he heals.

man! God said, first day, second day, third day, fourth day, fifth day,

their Hebrew language, then ask them to translate. In the Hebrew tongue the
