APPLETON — A former youth pastor for an Appleton church convicted of
child enticement will have to complete his term of probation despite
his success at rehabilitation, a judge ruled Tuesday.
Frank Baron, now 49, was convicted in 1997 of one count of child
enticement stemming from two incidents involving a 12-year-old girl
while he was youth pastor at Appleton Alliance Church at its former
address of 3310 N. Durkee St.
In January 1998, Baron was sentenced by Outagamie County Circuit Judge
James Bayorgeon to nine months in jail and placed on 20 years
probation. The probation restricts his contact with minors and
prevents him from traveling out of the state.
