This week, the murder trial of the church organist accused in the
death of Devonte Mincy will begin once a jury is picked. The trial,
which is expected to begin Tuesday, promises to include testimony from
forensic medical experts, as prosecutors try to show that Quintin
Tellefair Wallace caused the death of his girlfriend's son.

Wallace, the former manager of a hardware store described in court
records as a "gifted musician," has denied any involvement. He claimed
shortly after the incident that the child died as the result of an
accident.

According to court records, Wallace told police he was watching
Devonte at the home of his girlfriend, Sharika Mincy, when someone
riding a bicycle hit the toddler. He said he thought Devonte was
having a seizure, so he grabbed him in a panic and shook him.
