Spiritual vs Physical |

When a person wants to have money only to be rich then nobody ever has
enough and nobody dies with half of his desire acheived. That means a person
who wants to be rich only to be wealthy...never is happy with what he has,
never gets exactly what he desires. No matter how powerful he compares
himself with someone who is more wealthy and more powerful. They are never
truly happy with what they have.
Why is it that the desire for physical pleasure is limited...but if you want
the power to acheive power, just to be able to buy is unlimited. Why should
it be that way?
Why is it that a person doesn't want more and more and more of a physical
thing....but he wants more and more of a spiritual thing...this
honor...which is on a spiritual plane......
The answer is clear if you think about it...because the physical world is a
limited world...by definition it is a finite limited world. Power on the
other hand is a spiritual concept...it is a mode in the neshama...and since
it is generated by the spiritual world....an unlimited world...so the desire
on that plane is unlimited.
The gemora says that a person who eats honey and eats too much...becomes
disgusted with honey
Prov 25: 16. Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee,
lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
27. It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search
their own glory is not glory.
Take a bottle of honey....the first taste is awesome....it's a powerful
experience, but the point of disgust comes much sooner that you would
believe. This is a unique feature of the physical world.
This also happens in marriage....when people focus on the physical....it can
reach a point of disgust
when people focus on the spiritual....it grows.
