No surprise here. U.S. citizens frequently fly to Europe to get procedures
done. One notable one is hip resurfacing. A friend of mine flew to Belgium
and the entire cost of the trip including surgery, flight, motel, etc. was
$11000. The same surgery done in the U.S. (not FDA approved) was $23000.
The Belgium surgeon had also done 5 TIMES the number of surgeries the U.S.
surgeon had performed.
