TBN blows it AGAIN!!! Pre-empts a favorite program with a pre-played FILLER!!! |
Trinity Broadcasting Network!
WHY??!!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!
We can NEVER *count* on being able to watch Hal
Lindsey's show because you keep pre-empting the living
daylights out of it with your telethons and fillers!
It's bad enough that you INSULT Hal with that ludicrous
and nonsensical claim that his views are "not necessarily"
those of TBN. What a cowardly disclaimer! (And -- do you
actually suppose that *every* person at TBN would agree
100% with *everything* that's presented on ANY of the
shows you broadcast? In a pig's eye. So to be HONEST,
you'd have to play that disclaimer before *every* show that
you air. You don't -- and this action toward Hal Lindsey is
pure and simple mean-spiritedness on someone's' part, and
thus is uncalled-for.
If you're going to use cowardly disclaimers, why not go all
the way and apply it to shows that at least are far more *deser-
ving of* it? Such as that vapid pseudo-science drivel that
Carl Baugh engages in? Him and his silly "dinosaurs lived at
the same time as people" baloney. <<Sheesh!!>> We'd be
better off if you aired Bugs Bunny cartoons in that time slot!)
Hal Lindsey's prophecy-oriented show is probably the single
most dynamic and interesting program on TBN. I look forward
to seeing it at the reasonable hour of 7:30 pm (CST) on Wed.,
because the alternative is to wait over a day longer for it and
then have to watch it at midnight. as Friday begins here.
So what happened tonight at 7:30 -- AGAIN???
We get a RERUN of your tribute to Johnny Cash, instead!!
How long has it been since you last ran that? Two days?
Three? I can't help but wonder whose shows you blew off
with it on those *other* occasions!
TBN --- ****PLEASE**** get your act together, and start
being considerate to your listeners, and to such fine present-

Ahhhhh, the brain says T.V. broadcasting is based on the monetary income.
It took years of study to come to that conclusion.
I wonder, is TBN the only network that does that.
The ONLY network that is prepaid is PBS. Is it mostly prepaid by another
religion, Socialism.

No, it took me just 30 seconds after I heard that
Jake-the-fake shyster and crook Rod Parsley say
that someone watching the television was on the
"...brink of a miracle" if they would just send in
a $1000 donation. Heck of a love gift eh?
I guess that as far as RP is concerned, you can't find G-d at WalMart
prices eh ???
I wonder, is TBN the only network that does that.

I have learned and experience much more intellectual stimulus
from Masterpiece Theater, Nova and The News Hour on PBS
than I would if I have watched 72 hours of TBN.
In fact, even watching just ONE hour of TBN programming should
be classified as cruel and unusual punishment. Eating a bag of potato
chips and a 64oz bottle of Pepsi is more nutritious than watching
just one hour of TBN crap. That guy in the gold chair and his wife
next to him with her incredibly bad hairdoo are the return of Jim
and Tammy Fae. No doubt he lives in a mansion with 2 Lexus cars
in the driveway bought and paid for by the idiot fools who sent
money to TBN.

There are a couple good programs on TBN.
In general it is trash.
If you are "intellectually" stimulated by what you mention from PBS, you
need a life.
NOVA and PBS News are right up there with TBN for credibility if one has any
education in the world OR in theology.
There are a few "entertainment" programs that are "entertaining" on PBS.
NOTHING intellectually stimulating except to wonder how many people fall for
the baloney.
The good stuff on TBN is limited to a couple churches that "buy" time and a
very few plays.

Everything you've been saying makes a lot of sense.
But I'm still puzzled about a few things:
(1) Why does Hal Lindsey sit still for their INSULTING disclaimer?
(2) How does that **pseudo**-science-spouting MORON,
Baugh, manage NOT to earn such a disclaimer? The
man it a total nitwit!
(3) If it's all about the money, why would TBN throw away the
revenue that Hal pays for his cable time by pre-empting
his show with a tired old tribute to Johnny Cash that's
already been aired by that cable network?
To put it another way......TBN is PIMPING airtime much like a
pimp provides women for sex-by-the-hour on the Las Vegas Strip.

I agree! Even though their second-best brokered show (IMO),
"Jack Van Impe Presents" is their client, he ALSO can be seen
on other cable networks (such as BET and WGN), and local TV
stations. He has a TV log that is *pages* long, on 8-1/2" x 11"
paper!
Remember, to put it scripturally: it only takes a single fly (TBN)
to make the perfumer's oil stink, and putting a ring of gold thru
the snout of a pig is not one of the better uses for fine jewelry
(Proverbs ??)
Very well said!! ALL of it!
