Temple |
The temple will be rebuilt. The Antichrist must sit
in it and proclaim himself God: "That man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and
exalteth himself above all that is called God, or
that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the
temple of God, shewing himself that he is God"
(2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).
But how could this ever happen? How could the Jews
ever be able to build a third temple on the Temple
Mount in Jerusalem, when the Muslims have their
Dome of the Rock on the very site where the temple
would have to be built?
Currently there is some archaeological digging going
on in the area to the south of the Temple Mount, an
area called "The City of David". What if something
quite extraordinary were to be dug up there (or
were to be claimed to have been dug up there), such
as the "Ark of the Covenant"? It could be claimed
that ancient Jewish priests must have buried the Ark
to protect it from capture while ancient Jerusalem
was under siege by a foreign power.
Could such a find ignite the religious passions of
Orthodox Jewish groups to such an extent that they
would proclaim it as an irrefutable sign from God
that "it is time" to rebuild the Temple? In
Jerusalem, could there be a spontaneous all-out march
of tens of thousands of Orthodox Jewish zealots to
"immediately reclaim the Temple Mount from its
centuries of defilement", and could they in a riotous
frenzy succeed in tearing down the Dome of the Rock
with sledge hammers and pickaxes and large bulldozers?
Or, instead, could some Orthodox Jewish zealots who
aren't infiltrated by Israeli government informers
meet together and secretly plot the destruction of
the Dome of the Rock with explosives planted beneath
it? There are tunnels which appear to go under the
Dome of the Rock from an underground room off to the
left of the Wailing Wall. These are locked with
wrought-iron gates; but they may not be guarded well
enough by the Israeli government to prevent a small
group from overcoming the guards and blowing their
way past the gates.
If the Dome of the Rock is destroyed, whether by
spontaneous mass action or by the premeditated
action of a small group, Israel will have to
immediately mobilize its entire military and
populace to defend itself from Muslim reprisals.
And there would be no guarantee that tiny Israel
would be able to survive all the reprisals,
especially if they included an all-out invasion from
a massive Iraqi Army which (by that time) could have
been built up by the US for the invasion of huge
Iran instead.
Whether Israel survived the Muslim reprisals or not,
the Orthodox Jews could still be prevented from
building their Temple on the site of a destroyed
Dome of the Rock, by a large contingent of
governmental soldiers, whether Israeli or Iraqi or
from the UN, who could occupy the Temple Mount "in
order to prevent any further mayhem there".
But the Orthodox Jews could nonetheless be persuaded
by a very charismatic "Messiah", with healing and
other miraculous powers (compare Matthew 24:24; Mark
13:22), that they they mustn't fear the soldiers or
delay in rebuilding the temple, "For with him they
can do it, for GOD wills it at this time". In their
zeal they could succeed in defeating the soldiers and
occupying the Temple Mount for themselves; they could
even succeed in taking the entire Old City of
Jerusalem and setting up a Mosaic-Covenant theocracy
there ruled by their "Messiah".
This "Messiah" could be the "prince of the covenant"
(Daniel 11:22) whom the Antichrist will subsequently
defeat and cut a 7-year deal with (Daniel 9:26-27,
11:22-23). This deal could allow the Orthodox Jews to
daily sacrifice animals before a rebuilt Jewish
Temple exactly according to the Mosaic Covenant.
But then later, "in the midst" of the 7 years
(Daniel 9:27), the Antichrist will "have
indignation against the holy covenant. So shall he
do; he shall even return, and have intelligence
with them that forsake the holy covenant. And arms
shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the
sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the
daily sacrifice, and they shall place the
abomination that maketh desolate" (Daniel 11:30-32,
compare Daniel 9:27).
This abomination of desolation could occur on
December 21, 2012, in the "Holy of Holies", the
innermost sanctuary of the Temple where the Ark of
the Covenant resides.
To prepare for the event, the Antichrist could place
a resplendent golden throne behind the Ark of the
Covenant, and set up a TV crew ready to beam his
every move up to a satellite, as part of a "LIVE
Breaking News Report" on a global TV network he'd
just recently purchased (FOX Worldwide News?).
At the appointed time, the Antichrist, arrayed for
the occasion in gorgeous golden robes, and
accompanied on TV by glorious music, could be seen
by the whole world entering the Holy of Holies and
walking to a point directly behind the Ark of the
Covenant. He could then reach out and remove the
"Mercy Seat" from off of the Ark. He could look at
it for a moment, and then cast it down in front of
the Ark, where it could break into pieces. He could
then tilt the uncovered Ark forward so that the
cameras could see that it's completely empty; then
he could push it over so that it crashes into the
broken Mercy Seat.
The Antichrist could then grandly take his seat upon
the throne, and place upon his own head a massive
golden crown studded with rubies and sapphires and
every precious stone. As he's placing the crown on
his head, he could say in a clear and resonant voice
as the cameras zoom in on his face, "I AM THAT I AM.
I AM YOUR GOD, THE ONLY GOD."
And so he could fulfill the ancient prophecies: "He
shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every
god" (Daniel 11:36); "That man of sin be revealed,
the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth
himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple
of God, shewing himself that he is God"
(2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).

Your slur is noted, but there would be no need for a found ark to be found
on the temple mount. Why would its finding be such a surprise? Over the ark
of the covenant is the mercy seat, the only place on earth where the
antichrist could sit and show himself as God: "and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition; [4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above
all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in
the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God" (2 Thes. 2:3-4). It is
the presence of the ark of the covenant with the mercy seat in the temple,
which makes it possible for there to be two "worst possible" abominations,
the first being the worst possible without the ark present [Antiochus], and
the second worst possible prophesied to come by the Lord (Mt 24:15) with the
ark present.
Could such a find ignite the religious passions of

Your zealot slur is also noted. You seem to be a little out of touch with
scripture and reality. Who told you the Jews rebuild the coming temple?
(Zech 6:15). You almost seem to imagine, to the point of paranoia, a great
deal of influence to the Orthodox Jews, but, as you know if you were
watching and do not need to know if you weren't, the recent
return-to-the-promise enthusiasm of the last decade occurred while the folks
were demanding the jailing of the Orthodox rabbis if they didn't shut up.
Or, instead, could some Orthodox Jewish zealots who
aren't infiltrated by Israeli government informers

Your paranoia is getting worse. If you want to see a picture of one of the
Jews dedicated to the rebuilding of the temple, check out some of the
pictures of the capture of Jerusalem. You'll find him posing for a picture
in front of the Dome, he commanded the men who capture Jerusalem and the
temple.

His,
Freddie, you are not paying attention! Vera endorse this story line,
and here you are calling it Darybyism! Now understand, that on this
point, I agree totally with you, but you are risking the wrath of

Personally I think this would make a great movie! Think how much
money Hollywood would be able to separate from the foolish Dispy's who
always feel they must attend such rubbish lest someone think they are
not faithful, or have fallen from the faith! We need to be sure and
send vera the very first ticket for her preview and endorsement! That
way we will know that it is safe for everyone else to go see! :)
Then she can also have the thought police all lined up to make sure
that even then everyone is only hearing the good stuff, and not the
bad evil wicked stuff. Brainless, numbminded robot that we all are!

Macedonia. Why would Paul mention a prophecy about events to occur in
Jerusalem in an epistle to the Thessalonians? Was he referring to
another temple, perhaps?
In Ephesians 2:21 he speaks of the Church as a holy temple of God. The
one in Jerusalem he refers to in disparaging terms. He equates it with
Hagar the Egyptian bondwoman, who was cast out of the household of Abraham.
Galatians 4:30
Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her
son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the
freewoman.
The Jerusalem temple along with the entire Mosaic system with all its
rituals, was about to be destroyed. It was already obsolete. So why
would Paul refer to that temple in a letter to the Thessalonians? It
makes little sense.
Now, if Paul was referring to the Church as a temple, then his prophecy
in 2 Thess 2:3-4 is appropriate, as it applies directly to the people
who he was writing to. The "man of sin" who is exposed, and who is
destroyed by Christ, is the antichrist. Or, he is actually Satan.

His,
I noticed many of those Fred responds to get called "Satan", so he
probably has no problem with the idea that antichrist is here already.
And looking at some of the posts of the preterists, they probably feel
much the same about their opponents, no? So, clearly, antichrist already
occupies the true temple of God!

This was addressed to believers who lived in Thessalonica, a city in
Macedonia. Why would Paul mention a prophecy about events to occur in
Jerusalem in an epistle to the Thessalonians? Was he referring to
another temple, perhaps?
The Author is including prophecy contained in scripture for folks all over
the world to see, which they had already been taught: "Remember ye not,
that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?" (2 Thes. 2:5), and
He was referring to the temple within which the man of sin shows himself as
God.
In Ephesians 2:21 he speaks of the Church as a holy temple of God. The
one in Jerusalem he refers to in disparaging terms. He equates it with
Hagar the Egyptian bondwoman, who was cast out of the household of
Abraham.
Galatians 4:30
Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her

The Jerusalem temple along with the entire Mosaic system with all its
rituals, was about to be destroyed. It was already obsolete. So why
would Paul refer to that temple in a letter to the Thessalonians? It
makes little sense.
Actually you make no sense. It certainly was better for Jews who heard His
call to abandon the law and to come into the church, "For I testify again to
every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law" (Gal
5:3). Folks bound to the law are the enemy-of-the-gospel-elect (Rom
11:28-29), who are not saved at His coming. It is for them that the temple
will be built so they can fulfill their debt.
You say it is obsolete, but He says ..of the old covenant that "it decays
and waxes old, ready to vanish away" (Heb 8:13), and He tells us when it
will vanish away: "Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall
in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled" (Mt 5:18).
Now, if Paul was referring to the Church as a temple, then his prophecy
in 2 Thess 2:3-4 is appropriate,
That is utterly absurd, for if it were the church, there would be no church:
"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted
of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, [5] And
have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, [6]
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they
crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame"
(Heb 6:4-6). And, the Lord puts it in the Holy of Holies: " When ye
therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the
prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) [16]
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains" (Mt 24:15-16).

point, I agree totally with you, but you are risking the wrath of

????????? What a derelict.
I was responding to nonsense written and posted by misRead the Bible and
it
has nothing to do with anyone else.
His,
I noticed many of those Fred responds to get called "Satan", so he
probably has no problem with the idea that antichrist is here already.
And looking at some of the posts of the preterists, they probably feel
much the same about their opponents, no? So, clearly, antichrist already
occupies the true temple of God!
Satan has been around for a long time, and he does try to present himself as
an angel of light, but the scriptures keep exposing his lies, and he doesn't
get into the Lord's church.

This was addressed to believers who lived in Thessalonica, a city in
Macedonia. Why would Paul mention a prophecy about events to occur in
Jerusalem in an epistle to the Thessalonians? Was he referring to
another temple, perhaps?
The Author is including prophecy contained in scripture for folks all over
the world to see, which they had already been taught: "Remember ye not,
that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?" (2 Thes. 2:5), and
He was referring to the temple within which the man of sin shows himself as
God.
Every believer is called a 'temple' of God, as Flowerchild8245 explained
in another post in this thread. He cited 1 Cor. 3:16, 1 Cor. 3:17, 1
Cor. 6:19, 2 Cor. 6:16. The Church which consists of all believers is
called a holy temple as well, Ephes 2:21.
Now, Paul wrote of some who were believers, but who had become enemies
of the gospel, and who "set their mind on earthly things" rather than
the truth.
Philippians 3:18-19
For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even
weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is
destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their
shame—who set their mind on earthly things.
He says of them that their "god is their belly" which is simply another
way of saying they are under the power of "the man of sin". Every
Christian has a belly, but they made it their god. What if "many"
Christians were to do that? Then the "man of sin" would become dominant
in the Church! And when we look at what goes on in some of the
denominations, things that make the news and bring shame and dishonour
to the Church and to the name of Christ, it does seem as though the "man
of sin" is present, and is having a great influence. Now if you know of
a group where such is not the case please let me know!
Cast out the bondwoman and her
son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the
freewoman.
The Jerusalem temple along with the entire Mosaic system with all its
rituals, was about to be destroyed. It was already obsolete. So why
would Paul refer to that temple in a letter to the Thessalonians? It
makes little sense.
Do you know of a way in which people can "fulfill their debt" and so
become saved that involves building a literal temple? Such a notion
seems to be "another gospel" and to teach such is proscribed by Paul.
Galatians 1:8-10
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you
than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said
before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you
than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade
men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I
would not be a bondservant of Christ.
Read Matthew 18:11-13,
For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost. “What do you
think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does
he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one
that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he
rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go
astray.
Oh yes, flee to the mountains, as we read in Zechariah's prophecy:
Zechariah 14:4-5
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is
before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in
the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall
be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the
north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley
of the mountains
I suggest the "valley" of the mountains is the figurative one, formed as
the two interpretations of the Olivet prophecy of Jesus, Preterism and
Dispensationalism, go north and south; we need to go through the
"valley" between those flawed explanations to discover the truth about
prophecy. It means the prophecies of the Bible were not all fulfilled in
the first century as the Preterists say, nor are they meant for the
Jews, in a future 7-year tribulation that the Church escapes by means of
a so-called "rapture" as Dispensationalists claim. Instead they apply to
us today, as Peter said:
2 Peter 1:19
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye
take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day
dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
The "valley of the mountains" between Preterism and Dispensationalism is
where we should flee to. Zechariah says to flee from those explanations,
and Christ refers to Zechariah's prophecy.

Cor. 6:19, 2 Cor. 6:16. The Church which consists of all believers is

True, but that the church is a temple of God for the Christian elect, isn't
germaine to the discussion of the temple for the enemy-of-the-gospel-elect
(Rom 11:28-29). They also have a temple promised, in which their debt to the
law (Gal 5:3) will be fulfilled after He returns and they accept Him" (Zech
12:10).
Now, Paul wrote of some who were believers, but who had become enemies
of the gospel, and who "set their mind on earthly things" rather than

They wouldn't have to be dominant in the church to take the whole body of
Christ into hell, which is why we are advised to purge offending members
from the body, the one body in which the members have minds of their own and
the eyes do not work in tandem.: "And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it
out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with
one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire" (Mt 18:9).
There is sin in the church, but it is more a matter of not being in Christ.
It is not the man of sin in the holy place, for Christians are in Christ and
He is our holy place. For many, church is a social club, for others it is a
gang with which to affiliate and fight the other "gangs." It is often a
minority who are in church to be in Christ, and they will not soar like
eagles surrounded by a bunch of turkeys. When believers return to His
doctrines and are of one accord, they will be the church "not having spot,
or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without
blemish" (Ephes. 5:27).
In Ephesians 2:21 he speaks of the Church as a holy temple of God. The
one in Jerusalem he refers to in disparaging terms. He equates it with
Hagar the Egyptian bondwoman, who was cast out of the household of

People? The only ones who have a debt to do all the law are the
circumcision: "For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he
is a debtor to do the whole law" (Gal 5:3), and it does require a literal
temple. It's His gospel, and the temple to which He returns.
Galatians 1:8-10
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you
than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said

As I noted it is His gospel, not a different gospel. You seem to want to
cram all the saved into the church, but most of the saved are not the in the
church. The church is the few chosen of the many called, "many are called,
but few are chosen" (Mt 22:14), but the saved are an innumerable
multitude:."After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man
could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood
before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms
in their hands" (Rev. 7:9). The church judges the rest: "Do ye not know that
the saints shall judge the world?" (1 Cor. 6:2).
You say it is obsolete, but He says ..of the old covenant that "it
decays
and waxes old, ready to vanish away" (Heb 8:13), and He tells us when it
will vanish away: "Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle
shall
in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled" (Mt 5:18).

(Heb 6:4-6).
Read Matthew 18:11-13,
For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost. “What do you
think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does
he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one
that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he
rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go
astray.
?????????? Why do you cite scripture to contradict scripture, when the only
contradiction is in your mind?
Implicit in the verse is coming to save the lost sheep who could be saved,
not to covet the adversary's sheep.
And, the Lord puts it in the Holy of Holies: " When ye
therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel
the
prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
[16]

I've seen your suggestion and it raises questions in my mind about the state
of your mind. Can you think outside your box? What seven year tribulation?
I've said nothing about a 7 year tribulation. What escape? The rapture has
nothing to do with any escaping? It separates the two elect for the day of
the Lord.
Preterism is heresy, period, and you'll find that it is Jesus who speaks to
the dispensations when He pointed out that salvation by faith was nothing
new, for it had been by faith before the law was given.
2 Peter 1:19
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye

BEHOLD, THE 'MAN OF SIN' ON INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION !
As Sophia on Golden Girls would say: "Picture this..." A thousand
cameras are all rolling and beaming the following event to every spot
on earth via satellites. A man (a physical, mortal man, with possible
body odor, thinning hair, and a pimple on his nose) approaches a newly
built, incredibly beautiful, temple somewhere in Jerusalem.
He is dressed in an all white, pure silk Hong Kong suit, with his
collar on backwards signifying great religious piety, and having a
huge gold cross around his neck. With unbelievable pride and pompous
vanity, he enters the temple (followed by a couple dozen cameramen).
He then sits (well, I don't know where he sits, seeing that the Temple
in Jerusalem did not have a "throne" in it, as even the Jews knew that
the Temple was built for God and not for some man to sit in it-maybe
he sits on the floor).
He then announces to those present and to the world via the cameramen,
that He HIMSELF IS GOD. Yes, GOD-the Creator of billions of galaxies
having billions of stars that are billions of times larger than the
earth. And, although he speaks with imperfect grammar and has a rather
small vocabulary, the ENTIRE POPULATION OF THE EARTH (save the Hagee/
Lindsey readers) will actually BELIEVE that this man IS THE VERY GOD
OF THE BIBLE AND THE GOD OF JESUS CHRIST AND THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE.
The presidents and leaders of whole countries, taxi drivers,
housewives, scientists, atheists, Moslems, WILL BE TOTALLY AND
COMPLETELY CONVINCED (albeit it also totally deceived) that this
mortal man in the white silk Hong Kong suit, really IS, THE ETERNAL
CREATOR GOD OF THE UNIVERSE!! And all the while, sales of "Official
Man of Sin dolls" will sell like hotcakes in all the religious junk
stands surrounding the temple.
Give me a break! How stupid do they believe the average earthling
really is? Would YOU be deceived by such an one? I should say NOT!
--
And dont forget, YOU are the temple of God! (Christ built this holy
temple of God in 3 days, just as he said he would)...
"Know ye not that YE ARE [1] THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and that the Spirit of
God DWELLS IN YOU?" (I Cor. 3:16).
"If any man defile the [2] TEMPLE OF GOD, him shall God destroy; for
the [3] THE TEMPLE OF GOD is holy, which temple YE ARE" (I Cor. 3:17).
"What? Know ye not that YOUR BODY IS [4] THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? (I
Cor. 6:19).
"And what agreement has the [5] TEMPLE OF GOD with idols? For YE ARE
[6] THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD: as God has said, I will dwell IN
them, and walk IN them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my
people" (II Cor. 6:16).
"For through Him WE both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-
citizens with the saints, and of the household [family] of God: And
are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus
Christ Himself being the chief corner stone; In whom [the SAINTS] all
the building fitly framed together grows unto [7] AN HOLY TEMPLE IN
THE LORD: In Whom YE also are built together for an habitation of God
through the spirit" (Eph. 2:18-22).
Seven times Paul assures the early Church that, YE ARE the Temple of
God, the habitation for His Holy Spirit. Seven, the number of
completeness, of total spiritual truth. Do we suppose that after
speaking of us, we, our bodies, being the temple of God seven times,
that he all of a sudden he has reference to a PHYSICAL TEMPLE MADE
WITH STONES? Absolutely not!
So this "wicked" surely defiled the "temple of God" by continuing to
worship idols, even after receiving the gospel of Christ. After all,
Christ verified idol worshiping was going on in his immenent warning
to the seven Churches which were in Asia, Christian assemblys of newly
converted idol worshippers....who had a hard time letting go of those
bad bad habits, that thing God hates! (The worshipped the goddess
"Dianna" big time back then)
So...this is surely to say the TRUE temple of God was being defiled by
idol worshippers.
--
Ps...
Notice how Paul called this "man of sin" a "mystery of iniquity"! And
notice how this "wicked" was already at work...
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity DOTH ALREADY WORK: only he who
now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And how, way back then, they all knew the "day of Christ"was at hand.
Most of us not unlike the Thessalonians of Paul's day are aware of a
prophetic time spoken by the prophets known as "The Day of the Lord."
As Isaiah prophesied, John the Baptist came in the spirit and power of
Elijah before this day. The Thessalonians knew somewhat of this day
and what it portended, as Paul spoke to them earlier about it. Now he
has to tell them in this second epistle..
2Th 2:1-2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not
soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word,
nor by letter as from us, as THAT DAY OF CHRIST IS AT HAND.
Peace. Love. What now?
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will
keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him.
(why, that would make you a temple of God! looky there!)

He is dressed in an all white, pure silk Hong Kong suit, with his
collar on backwards signifying great religious piety, and having a

vanity, he enters the temple (followed by a couple dozen cameramen).

Isn't this describing Benny Hinn? :)

And ps! Notice how it does not say "The (capitol "A") Antichrist"
either! As a matter of fact, There were many antichrist people, not
just one. According to the Bible there is no "THE Anti-Christ", that
is a teaching of men, not the Bible.
The term "antichrist" only appears 4 times in the Bible, all in 1John,
and each time saying there were MANY. Let me present them to show it
is a teaching of men, not the Bible...
[1]1John 2:18 Little children, IT IS THE LAST TIME: and as ye have
heard that
antichrist shall come, EVEN NOW THERE ARE MANY antichrists; whereby we
KNOW that IT IS THE LAST TIME.
(remember, this was spoken in the first century)
[2]1John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the
Christ? He is
antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
[3]1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ
is come in the
flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye
have
heard that it should come; AND EVEN NOW IS ALREADY IN THE WORLD.
(remember, this was spoken in the first century)
[4]2John 1:7 For MANY deceivers are entered into the world, who
confess not that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an
antichrist.
There is your "man of sin"! There were many!

Ps...
Please compare 2Th 2:3-4 with Ezekial 28:2! The prince of Tyrus did
not literally sit in a little chair in a physical temple and claim to
be God! And likewise, this "man of sin" was not to literally sit in a
little chair in a in a physical temple and claim to be God. The
verbage is certain to say; for [a man] to glorify himself in his
heart, or his handywork, an idol he created to be worshipped even, or
even a likeness of himself! It is certain, for a man to think of
himself "AS" A God. A man does not have to literally say "I am God"
to set himself up "as" God. And we see here, a man does not have to
sit in a building to attempt to sit on God's throne!
Please, Compare Eze 28:2 to 2Th 2:3-4. Notice the similarities!...
Eze 28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord
GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God,
I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art [a
man], and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God.
[28:9-10] Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God?
but thou shalt be [a man], and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth
thee. Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of
strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
2Th 2:3-4 is deep! Just as Ezekial 28:2 is. the verbage is the exact
same! All is not as it seems...
2Th 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not
come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself
above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God
sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
This "falling away" spoken of was from their first love, the way first
preached to these early Christian converts, that they were to obstain
from idol worship, and not think too high of themselves. After awhile,
some bad sheep had crept in, as recorded in the Acts of the Apostles,
as revealed in the seven letters to the seven Churches which were in
Asia.
I am sure if all this were to be taken literally, Christ would have
said something about this, even as he revealed all things to His
Apostles, as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John...as he revealed
His TRUE temple, that the prophets of ol' spoke of. (see below)
Besides all that, the whole "third" temple doctrine of men is rubbish!
To the best of my knowledge, these are historical facts concerning the
temples of Jerusalem:
* Approximately 966 BC, King Solomon built the first temple in
Jerusalem.
* August 5th, 586 BC, Under king Nebuchadnezzar, Solomon's temple was
burned as the Babylonians sieged Jerusalem.
* March 12th, 515 BC, under the reign of king Darius, as decreed by
king Cyrus, A second temple was rebuilt upon the first in Jerusalem.
( Ezra 6:15 )
* Approximately 19-20 BC, Herod the Great began to rebuild a third
temple upon the first. The whole foundation, even the mountain was
changed. It was under construction 46 years in Jesus' time (John
2:20), and Josephus confirms construction was ongoing until 63 AD,
during the reign of Herod Agrippa.
* August 5th, 70 AD, Under Emperor Titus, ( Titus actually forbid
destroying the Temple, the Roman soldiers did it anyway ), Herod's
temple, the Temple of the Jews in Jerusalem, was made desolate.
* Approximately 687 through 691 AD , The "Dome of the Rock" was built
on the former temple grounds with the Al-Aqsa mosques. This is a
fourth structure in Jerusalem since the temple of Solomon.

Seven times Paul assures the early Church that, YE ARE the Temple of

"Read The Bible" <bibleverse2@yahoo.com> wrote in message
news:1179911889.687205.260730@u30g2000hsc.googlegroups.com...
What a load a crap.

were to be claimed to have been dug up there), such
as the "Ark of the Covenant"?
In | |
