with an unBiblical idea of what the depth and length of sin really
is there comes, of course, an unBiblical position of what salvation
really is.
with no other Savior except the Lord God Jesus Christ as the sin
Bearer of God's elect, how it could be that there are those who
actually profess to have saved themselves by co-operating in some man
made predefined way... is a gospel of 2... Christ's decision plus my
decision equals salvation.
thank God this is never the gospel of the Bible.
sin is more than transgression of Law. ( Ps. 51:5; Eph. 2:1 ) sin is
in everyone by reason of imputation of Adam's sin, called Original
Sin, from which there is no escape on this earth. ( Ro. 7:14-25. )
all of mankind in his unregenerate state is given over to transgress
because he's predisposed to transgress, as the result of his being
found in Adam. Ro. 5:12
in the eyes of God, the natural or unregenerate man is an alien to
Him, completely incapable of desiring anything pleasing to God.
( Ro. 3:10-18. ) in fact, all of man's righteousness is nothing more
than menstruous clothes. ( Is. 64:6 )
this being the case, it is impossible for man to turn himself from
the evil he's accustomed to doing, ( Jer. 13:23 ) and in and of
himself turn to the Living God all the while he is dead in trespasses
and sin's. contrary to popular thinking, the Holy Spirit of God does
not convict the non-elect of sin unto salvation ( Joh. 16:7-11.) He
is sent to convict the world for whom Christ prays while He rejects
the world He did not come to save. ( Joh. 17:9 )
what then is the nature of being of the one who claims he saved
himself by co-operating with Christ all the while direct testimony
from the Living God says to the contrary ?
the answer is simple and direct... " For there shall arise false
Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders;
insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive
the very elect. " Mt. 24:24
when someone claims salvation by the will of man and the Word of God
says that salvation is not by the will of man, as in John 1:12,13,
then you've found a blaspheming reprobate who's trying to grab some of
the glory away from Christ.
when someone claims salvation because in and of himself he believed
in Christ all the while the Word of God says believing comes after
eternal life is granted an elect one, as in Acts 13:48, you've again
found a blaspheming reprobate who's trying to get some of the glory
for himself spurning Jesus Christ.
the question was answered two thousand years ago when Jesus was
asked " who then can be saved ? " and His remarkable answer
followed... " with men it is impossible " Mt. 19:25,26. yet, the
false prophets insist their personal talent saved them.
