PHILADELPHIA -- He sounded too good to be true, claiming to be an astronaut
or a doctor -- even a spy.
And he was clean-cut, lived in a nice neighborhood and liked to frequent
upscale eateries.
The trouble is, Philadelphia prosecutors contend he's a rapist who attacked
at least eight women. (and the COLD-HEARTED ***** christian god loved
watching the woman being raped)
Several women took the stand on Tuesday against Jeffrey Marsalis.
The women said Marsalis posed as a doctor, CIA agent and a confidant to
President George W. Bush.
They said Marsalis met most of them through the popular dating site
Match.com between 2003 and last year.
During a preliminary hearing this week, the women told similar stories about
feeling unusually intoxicated after having a drink with him.
According to prosecutors, Marsalis would slip something in their drinks,
then take them to his home and rape them. And Marsalis doesn't have a dream
job. He's an occasional nursing student.
His lawyer denied the charges, accusing the women of what she calls "buyer's
remorse" after consensual sex. Marsalis will still stand trial on 10 rape
charges, according to Philadelphia TV station WCAU. There are eight alleged
victims, two of whom said they were raped twice.
Earlier this year, Marsalis was acquitted of three other rapes, the TV
station reported.
Match.com said it promotes safe dating, but once two people meet, what
happens is up to them.
Idaho prosecutors said a rape charge is also pending against Marsalis in Sun
Valley.
