Devotional Guide
For the week of November 28, 2004
THE COMING OF CHRIST
To Read: Jeremiah 35-37
To Know:
"But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, 'Why do you think evil in your
hearts? For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say,
'Rise and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on
earth to forgive sins" - he then said to the paralytic - 'Rise, take up your
bed and go home.'" (Matt. 9:4-6)
Authority is power. Condoleezza Rice is in good physical shape but she is
still powerless to stop a runaway freight train with her bare hands.
President Bush decided to elevate Ms. Rice to one of the most powerful posts
in the United States government, the head of the State Department. The
Secretary of State is fourth in the line of succession to the presidency.
The Department of State maintains direct contact with foreign governments
through our embassies abroad. The department helps negotiate treaties,
alliances, and other international agreements. Major foreign policy
decisions facing the president are made in consultation with the Secretary
of State. Ms. Rice may not be strong enough to physically stop a train, but
when she acts with the power of the United States she will be able to curb
threats from runaway nations.
Sin made humanity a runaway race. Pride is its own evidence that the human
spirit is out of control. Deceit is the evidence that the human mind is out
of control. Sickness is the evidence that the human body is out of control.
Jesus Christ came with the authority to use his divine power to stop us from
our headlong fall toward destruction and restore in us the love of God.

name is called The Word of God.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a
sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall
rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the
fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and
on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud
voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come
and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That
ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the
flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on
them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and
great.
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies,
gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and
against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false
prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them
that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his
image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with
brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat
upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the
fowls were filled with their flesh.
And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the
bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the
dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him
a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him
up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no
more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he
must be loosed a little season.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto
them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness
of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the
beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their
foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a
thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the
thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed
and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the
second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of
Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."

Very good, liberals hate this..
Ephesians states that the Church is His BODY, Matt.25:31-46 states He is the
least among us, John 17 states that as He is one in God, and God is one in
Him, we too are to be one in Him...
Yes, we are to love, each, our enemies, but, there comes a time that we

Hi Glen. I wonder what your meaning is when you say: *follow Christ
***into battle*** *??? Are you referring to The book of Revelation where the
events such as the Armageddon have not yet occurred? Please cite a couple
of scriptures wherein you believe Christ teaches Christians to kill others
(Ref. 1PE 3:15).

The christian god is a military god. The only way he/it knows how to solve

There are hundreds of tons of studies proving the paranormal. I know as I've

What I mean is you cannot prove it to others.
You can prove it to yourself but, as they say, 'to those who demand proof,
no proof can ever be sufficient'.
My main reason for maintaining improvability is that I heard a psychic say
that those in the upper realms take every action to prevent humans from
finding out what truly exists in the non-material realms. That leads me to
think that life is a learning experience and that knowing everything is bad
because your knowledge, bias and prejudices would take over and then your
true self will not come out.
Either that or we're all being exploited by dark paranormal entities.
My observation has been that no matter how hard people try to search for the
answers about the paranormal, they always end up going around in circles.
UFO research is the same - and related I believe. There is evidence that
UFO's are also largely of a paranormal nature.
I'd be interested to hear what paranormal experiences/findings you've had.
Me, I haven't had any paranormal experiences yet. :-( I'm just interested
in them.

WE are the Body of Christ, He is here IN us, when you re-read Revelation,
keep in mind who and what angels are, by the mouth of an angel himself
Rev.22:8-9
As we are His body, He moves THROUGH us, we will be the ones fulfilling the
prophecies of Revelation, and Christ's "return"

everything happens in cycles, that it "Already happened." doesn't mean it
isn't going to happen again, presently / in the future

Personally, I have seen almost all of prophecy take place in my lifetime,
including Christ's "return" in my personal life... And I believe them to be
happening to all of us, during our lifetimes, from the 'return' of which
Pastor Dave speaks of, and withinin every generation since. Pastor Dave's
message causes people (who may accept his argument) to be blinded (more than
many already are) to the miracle of the prophetic fulfilments which are
taking place in *their* lives. (which, to me, is very sad)

I can't make any sense of the text you were referring to but I do believe
that in the higher realms there is no such concept as time - all time is
now. So I believe you're probably correct.
What this tells me, and this is only me, is that we make our own reality and
we are the ones who put meaning to it.
A life doesn't have any meaning until you give it one. That's what I
believe.
