The Dark Bible
A Short History of the Bible
The stories of the Bible evolved slowly over centuries before the existence
of orthodox religions. Many belief cults spread stories and myths probably
handed down by oral tradition from generation to generation before people
wrote them down. Many of the stories originally came from Egyptian and
Sumerian cults. All of these early religions practiced polytheism, including
the early Hebrews. Some of the oldest records of the stories that later
entered the Old Testament came from thousands of small cylinder seals
depicting creation stories, excavated from the Mesopotamia period. These
early artifacts and artworks (dated as early as 2500 B.C.E.) established the
basis for the Garden of Eden stories a least a thousand years before it
impacted Hebrew mythology.

much before the year 1300. and into English much later than that

Rejoice, Saints, for I check myself against the list of qualities below, and
believe that I am honest, and that I am understanding, and I commend
knowledge, and have other good qualities in the list.
However, if I take pride in telling the truth, then I must tell the truth,
and tell you that there is no God. I cannot pretend to believe in God, for
if there was a God, he would know that my belief was pretence, and I would
be sent to the fiery furnace, for he would put my obedience to himself above
my very honesty as a human individual.
By that list, I behave as God would expect me to behave, but such qualities
are what any human would strive towards, and if God claims to be the
fountain of such qualities, then he claims falsely, for humans on Earth have
striven towards those same qualities before he was heard of.
So, if there is indeed a god, he is not the fountain of those qualities, but
he came upon those same qualities flowing in the fountain of humanity and he
drank of them; therefore, he is the creation of humans, and is not worthy
of worship; rather he should worship mankind, from whom he should learn
humility.

This is your opinion, and that's fine. We're all free to have our
opinion, as God left it to free will whether we're going to chose
to follow Him or reject Him.

I cannot pretend to believe in God, for
if there was a God, he would know that my belief was pretence,

I could not pretend either. For a great many years, many

saying "I can't _make_ myself believe!". And I couldn't!

and I would
be sent to the fiery furnace, for he would put my obedience to himself above
my very honesty as a human individual.

This is where you don't seem to understand. God created us
(whether we want to believe it or not). He gave us free will. We
sin against God.
Have you _ever_ told a lie, ever, no matter how innocent it
seemed? Then you are a liar. (I think every one of us is guilty
of this one)
Have you ever taken something without permission? Ever?! Even if
it was not your intent that you were stealing it? Then you are a
thief.
Have you ever looked at another person with lust in your heart?
Ever? Then you've committed adultery in your heart already.
Have you ever committed adultery?
Fornication?
See
http://www.juststopandthink.com/goodpersontest.php
for more of this 'good person' test.
If you've broken any one of these commandments, you're guilty of
breaking God's Law. Just like man breaking man's law: doesn't
matter which law - we're "guilty of breaking the law".
And we're all guilty.
Romans 3:23 KJVR
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
So now that we know we're guilty of breaking God's Law, we must
realize that the punishment for breaking His Law, the wages for
all the times we continue to break his law in different ways is
death: being cast into hell.
Romans 6:23 KJVR
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
But Christ died for us while we were yet sinners, to save us from
our sins, if we receive this gift.
Romans 5:6-9 KJVR
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ
died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet
peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we
shall be saved from wrath through him.
We need only call on Him to receive this precious gift of
salvation
Romans 10:9-10 KJVR
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Trusting that Christ is the _only_ way to get saved, not by
anything we add to it, any good works, and so on,
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJVR
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
So, the only people that end up in hell are those that refuse
this precious gift, i.e., reject God, and instead insist on
paying the punishment for their sins themselves. It's by _choice_
that people end up in hell. Every single person can end up in
heaven if they receive this tremendous gift from Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 3:9 KJVR
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men
count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing
that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Romans 10:13 KJVR
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall
be saved.
So really, whether we end up in hell or not is our choice. If we
end up there, it is solely our fault, not God's!
So again, how good are you? Are you someone who insists on
rejecting God, your creator?

By that list, I behave as God would expect me to behave, but such qualities
are what any human would strive towards,

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJVR
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

and if God claims to be the
fountain of such qualities, then he claims falsely,

So your creator made you in His likeness.
Genesis 1:26 KJVR
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all
the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the
earth.
And in spite of this, you judge God and say He makes a false
claim. Please reconsider: is this what a truly good person does?
Judge God? Judge their holy creator?

for humans on Earth have
striven towards those same qualities before he was heard of.

So, if there is indeed a god, he is not the fountain of those qualities, but
he came upon those same qualities flowing in the fountain of humanity and he
drank of them; therefore, he is the creation of humans, and is not worthy
of worship;

Does a good person insult God? Please reconsider that it's not
how good we are compared to other people around us. It's how good
we are compared to God's holiness.

rather he should worship mankind, from whom he should learn
humility.

I think it's mankind that needs to learn humility. Look at how we
legalize the murdering of babies in the name of convenience. Over
a million babies murdered every year in the USA alone in the name
of convenience. What wicked murderers we are!
We need humility. Assume we might be wrong in our pride. Look
into it some more. Read the gospel of John. Attend a few churches
that preach from the bible (baptist perhaps). Talk to a few
believers who are knowledgeable in His Word. Ask questions here.
This is what I started doing, expecting it to change nothing of
course. And one day I used the Lord's name in vain as I'd always
done, and I cringed. And I was like "what's going on?!! Why am I
cringing for using God's name in vain?!!" And that's all she
wrote - that's when I realized God had drawn me to believe! And I
couldn't believe that I believed! It was amazing!
Praise the Lord!
I hope one day the same happens for you!
If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

So, if there is indeed a god, he is not the fountain of those qualities, but
he came upon those same qualities flowing in the fountain of humanity and he
drank of them; therefore, he is the creation of humans, and is not worthy
of worship;

A nice load of jesus freak myths. How can one insult a myth?
Yes, yes, we need to look at our shoes and do what we are told.
