There's been a lot of hoopla lately about the myth
of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. This myth has served
as the basis for at least a couple of books one called
'the Davinci code' and another called 'holy blood, holy grail'.
Even the discovery channel has ran a special about this myth.
I would like to take this opportunity to expose why this
myth is being put into the public eye from so many angles.
But first here is what the myth says in a nutshell.

THE MYTH.

and never ascended to the right hand of the Father.
Instead Jesus got married to Mary Magdalene and then
moved away from Israel to have kids and raise a family.
Eventually the descendants of Jesus became a line of
european kings called the Morovingian dynasty.
Now this is a Gnostic fabrication, so the myth holds
that Jesus was not the Son of God but rather the son
of Mary and Joseph. The purely gnostic version holds
that Jesus achieved semi god status by accessing deep
secret knowledge and becoming enlightened. Another
variant says that Jesus was adopted by God at the start
of His ministry.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT.
This myth is just one of the many ways that the antichrist
is preparing the world to accept him. Remember if the devil
can keep you from the true Christ he has won. The devils
favorite trick is to introduce a false christ. This particular
false christ has the added twist of implying a bloodline with
living descendants of the false christ. It doesn't take a brain
surgeon to what this is setting the stage for. With this myth
on peoples minds and a little fabricated proof, the antichrist
can step up and claim to be the last surviving descendant
of Jesus came to usher in the new world order of peace.

Gnostics and new agers will jump on this because
it will appear to verify the false christ that they hope to become
equal with. Ecumenicals will will jump on this because it eliminates
the requirment of accepting the real Christ as lord, thus making
Christianity compatible with false religions. And making a
universal false religion possible. Remember the antichrist wants
to be worshipped above "all that is called god". Moslems might
say "see, mohamet said Jesus was just a man". Jews may be
fooled into thinking the messiah has finally come, since a lot
of them didn't accept the real Messiah when He was here.
There is a way in for just about everybody. The devil is no slouch.
Only those of us who personally know the True Jesus as our Lord and
Savior will not be fooled. I hope they sharpen thier axes before they
cut our heads off.

This is all speculation, but it fits with the facts and with prophesy.
I think it is a likely scenario.

On the other side of this, two parts of the Church claim to have
possession of her remains. I rather lean towards the claim of the Greek
Church, which claims that she accompanied Jesus' mother to Ephesus and
died and was buried there. Later the remains were removed to
Constantinople (now Istanbul) where they remain to this day. If she
married anyone in Jesus' earthly family {and no such marriage is recorded
anywhere), it would have been a brother or a cousin who accompanied the
family to Ephesus.

There is also a tradition placing her, for a time, in Alexandria. There
is also an apocryphal gospel attributed to her. In my opinion it's a
gnostic piece, probably from the late second or early third century,
given the style, but it does not support this speculation either, which
seems, really, to be some latter-day concoction (though the Merovingians
themselves may have circulated some such rumour--ramping it up from the
Latin tradition that places her in Marseille and other parts of France).

In short, the book is fiction with a religious theme and should be
treated, like all fiction, as being nothing but a fabricated story,
however entertaining it might be.

On the other hand SAINT Mary Magdalene was the first witness to Our
Lord's ressurection and a figure of some importance in the early days of
the Church by dint of that alone.
