THE GOD CHALLENGE |
There are close to one thousand gods that people believe in.
How do we know which, if any, of these Gods is real?
If there is a real God why does he permit so many false Gods to exist and
mislead and confuse his creations?
I challenge the religious believers to answer these two questions and
provide objective verifiable evidence for your claims.

active beliefs? Even then, a thousand's still putting a pretty small

Why not? Ah... Is it perhaps because you believe that by 'God' what's
meant is 'a jealous God' - in other words, the God of the Christians?
That couldn't be it, could it, Bill? After all, there are 'close to one
thousand gods', we're told. Are they all the same?
I challenge the religious believers to answer these two questions and
provide objective verifiable evidence for your claims.
And in case anyone here hasn't seen these demands of yours before, let's
be honest now: you don't 'challenge' anyone to do anything. You're
trolling for replies so you can indulge yourself in mocking the
religious, because that's the kind of angry atheist you are. It's a
shame there are readers in these groups who'll come to believe that you
and your accompanying flunkies are the standard-model atheist.
Still, it's worth noting ANOTHER new thread crossposted from alt.atheism
into the religion-related groups; when everyone *knows* that it's only
religionists who're evil enough to invade unrelated groups with their
aggressive attempts to proselytise...

You are asking for an absolute for a relative.
Good and evil are perceptions, religion is based upon faith, trust, culture,
society, personal and community educational environment and may other
factors.
This is the catch...without true faith one is unworthy of enlightenment.
Some would say God is a security layer based upon your specific needs,
beliefs and perspectives.
There are lots of really big books that cover this topic from religious,
cultural, psychological and other approaches.
The short answer is either 7 or 42?

There are thousands of ideas of gods. No evidence of any god or god
action. If there's one out there, he/she/it/they are not real
interested in letting us know about it.
There are however millions of people who have lovely stories that they
are quite happen to threaten each and every other people with.
How surprising that you act just like them. Too bad you don't qualify
for their heavens and are apparently worshipping their satan.
