The God of our Lord Jesus Christ <20> I John 5:6-10 |
"The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth
such as be of a contrite spirit." <> Psalms 34:18 <> Isaiah 57:15
"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be
whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones
which thou has broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and
blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and
renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence;
and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy
salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." <> Psalms 51
<> Isaiah 52:15 <> I Peter 1:2 <> Hebrews 12:24
"But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith
came there out blood and water." <> John 19:34
<> Isaiah 51:4 judgment= {blood} =salvation <> Isaiah 51:5
<> Isaiah 51:4 law= {water} =righteousness <> Isaiah 51:5
"Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose
heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye
afraid of their revilings. For the moth shall eat them up like a
garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness
shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation."
<> Isaiah 51:7-8
<> Psalms 40:8 <> Matthew 12:50 <> John 14:23
Water and blood. <> John 19:34 <> I John 5:8
Water and blood. <> Isaiah 8:16, 20 <> Revelation 14:12
Water and blood. <> Psalms 85:10 <> Isaiah 32:20
"And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of
righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. And my people shall
dwell in peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet
resting places; When it shall hail, coming down on the forest: and
the city shall be low in a low place. Blessed are ye that sow beside
all waters, that send forth the feet of the ox (Commandments of God)
and the ***** (testimony of Jesus)." <> Isaiah 32:20
"To the law (water) and to the testimony (blood): if they speak not
according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."
<> Isaiah 8:20
"For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to
you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the
blood that maketh an atonement for your soul." <> Leviticus 17:11
"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants
of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they
shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for
him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for
his firstborn." <> Zechariah 12:10

"Water and blood came out from the side of Jesus Christ. It wasn't
just water, but water and blood. The Spirit tells about this,
because the Spirit is truthful. In fact, there are three who tell
about it. They are the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and they
all agree. We believe what people tell us. But we can trust what
God says even more, and God is the one who has spoken about his Son.
If we have faith in God's Son, we have believed what God has said.
But if we don't believe what God has said about his Son, it is the
same as calling God a liar." CEV
"This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by
water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth
witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear
record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these
three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the
Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for
this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He
that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that
believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the
record that God gave of his Son." KJV
"And we know he is, because God said so with a voice from heaven
when Jesus was baptized, and again as he was facing death - yes, not
only at his baptism but also as he faced death. And the Holy Spirit,
forever truthful, says it too. So we have these three witnesses: the
voice of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, the voice from heaven at
Christ's baptism, and the voice before he died. And they all say the
same thing: that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe men who
witness in our courts, and so surely we can believe whatever God
declares. And God declares that Jesus is his Son. All who believe
this know in their hearts that it is true. If anyone doesn't believe
this, he is actually calling God a liar because he doesn't believe
what God has said about his Son." LBV
"This is the one who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ,
not by water alone, but by water and blood. The Spirit is the one
that testifies, and the Spirit is truth. So there are three that
testify, the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and the three are
of one accord. If we accept human testimony, the testimony of God
is surely greater. Now the testimony of God is this, that he has
testified on behalf of his Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God
has this testimony within himself. Whoever does not believe God has
made him a liar by not believing the testimony God has given about
his Son." NAB
"This is the one who came by water and blood - Jesus Christ. He did
not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit
that testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three
that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in
agreement. We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater
because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.
Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart.
Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because
he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son." NIV
"Jesus Christ is the One who came by water a and blood. He did not
come by water only, but by water and blood. And the Spirit says that
this is true, because the Spirit is the truth. So there are three
witnesses that tell us about Jesus: the Spirit, the water, and the
blood; and these three witnesses agree. We believe people when they
say something is true. But what God says is more important, and he
has told us the truth about his own Son. Anyone who believes in
the Son of God has the truth that God told us. Anyone who does not
believe makes God a liar, because that person does not believe what
God told us about his Son." NCV
"This is He who came by water and blood - Jesus Christ; not only by
water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness,
because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in
heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are
one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the
water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. If we receive the
witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness
of God which He has testified of His Son. He who believes in the Son
of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has
made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God
has given of His Son." NKJV
"And Jesus Christ was revealed as God's Son by his baptism in water
and by shedding his blood on the cross - not by water only, but by
water and blood. And the Spirit also gives us the testimony that
this is true. So we have these three witnesses - the Spirit, the
water, and the blood - and all three agree. Since we believe human
testimony, surely we can believe the testimony that comes from God.
And God has testified about his Son. All who believe in the Son of
God know that this is true. Those who don't believe this are actually
calling God a liar because they don't believe what God has testified
about his Son." NLTV
"This is the one who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ, not with
the water only but with the water and the blood. And the Spirit is
the one that testifies, for the Spirit is the truth. There are three
that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three
agree. If we receive human testimony, the testimony of God is greater;
for this is the testimony of God that he has testified to his Son.
Those who believe in the Son of God have the testimony in their hearts.
Those who do not believe in God have made him a liar by not believing
in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son." NRSV

"With the exception of seven letters by Paul and the Revelation to
an otherwise unknown John, the writings selected for inclusion in the
New Testament were not written by those whose names are attached to
them. Many modern Christians find this fact difficult to comprehend,
if not downright unnerving. The problem seems to be that, if so,
someone must have been lying. A better way to understand this
phenomenon is to realize (1) that most literature of the early
Christian period was written anonymously, (2) that the concept of an
apostolic age was a second-century creation, and (3) that the later
attribution of this literature to names associated with apostles can
be explained in ways that show it was not considered dishonest.
One helpful observation is that anonymous authorship of writings
intended for use in social institutions such as schools, temples, and
royal bureaucracies was standard practice in the scribal traditions of
the ancient Near East. Another is that, in the early period of
collecting lore, interpreting teachings, and trying out new ideas fit
for the novel groupings spawned by the Jesus movements, many minds,
voices, and hands were in on the drafting of written materials. No one
thought to take credit for writing down community property even though
authorial creativity is everywhere in evidence. Even the earliest
collections of teachings and stories about Jesus, such as the Sayings
Gospel Q, the Gospel of Thomas, and the little sets of anecdotes and
miracle stories from the pre-Markan tradition bear the marks of
literacy and creativity, though none was signed by an author.
As for the later attribution of anonymous literature to known
figures of the past, that also was a standard practice during the
Greco-Roman period. Striking examples of the latter are the two
letters said to have been written by Peter, both of which are clearly
second-century creations."
In the mind of Christ,

blot out all my intelligence. Create in me a mean heart, O God; and
renew a bad spirit within me. Cast me away from thy presence;
and take thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy making money
and uphold me with my free spirit." Make me a God among men that they
should follow me into the pit.-------Just kidding!;-)
