Object: The God of our Lord Jesus Christ <9> Acts 10:34-43
"And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone;
for I do always those things that please him." <> John 8:29
"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my
words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and
make our abode with him." <> John 14:23
"Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces;
and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall
be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.
Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and
it shall not stand: for God is with us. For the LORD spake thus to me
with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way
of this people, saying, Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom
this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor
be afraid. Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your
fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but
for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses
of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be
snared, and be taken. Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my
disciples. And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from
the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. Behold, I and the
children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in
Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. And when
they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits,
and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek
unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the
testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because
there is no light in them." <> Isaiah 8:9-20
"For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his
tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him
eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the
eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto
their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is
good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye:
and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify
the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to
every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with
meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak
evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse
your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of
God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. For
Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that
he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but
quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the
spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the
longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a
preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The
like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the
putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good
conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Who is
gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and
authorities and powers being made subject unto him." <> I Peter 3:10-22

"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power:
who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the
devil; for God was with him." <> Acts 10:38
<>< -------=======>>>>>>> <> Acts 10:34-43 <> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<|=== ><>
"Peter then said: Now I am certain that God treats all people alike.
God is pleased with everyone who worships him and does right, no
matter what nation they come from. This is the same message that
God gave to the people of Israel, when he sent Jesus Christ, the
Lord of all, to offer peace to them. You surely know what happened
everywhere in Judea. It all began in Galilee after John had told
everyone to be baptized. God gave the Holy Spirit and power to Jesus
from Nazareth. He was with Jesus, as he went around doing good and
healing everyone who was under the power of the devil. We all saw
what Jesus did both in Israel and in the city of Jerusalem. Jesus
was put to death on a cross. But three days later, God raised him to
life and let him be seen. Not everyone saw him. He was seen only by
us, who ate and drank with him after he was raised from death. We
were the ones God chose to tell others about him. God told us to
announce clearly to the people that Jesus is the one he has chosen
to judge the living and the dead. Every one of the prophets has
said that all who have faith in Jesus will have their sins forgiven
in his name." CEV
"Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that
God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth
him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word
which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus
Christ: (he is Lord of all:) That word, I say, ye know, which was
published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the
baptism which John preached; How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with
the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing
all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. And we
are witnesses of all thing which he did both in the land of the Jews,
and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised
up the third day, and shewed him openly; Not to all the people, but
unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who dd eat and drink
with him after he rose from the dead: And he commanded us to preach
unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of
God to the Judge of the quick and the dead. To him give all the
prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believes in him
shall receive remission of sins." KJV
"Then Peter replied, "I see very clearly that the Jews are not God's
only favorites! In every nation he has those who worship him and do
good deeds and are acceptable to him. I'm sure you have heard about
the Good News for the people of Israel that there is peace with God
through Jesus, the Messiah, who is Lord of all creation. This message
has spread all through Judea, beginning with John the Baptist in
Galilee. And you no doubt know that Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by
God with the Holy Spirit and with power, and he went around doing good
and healing all who were possessed by demons, for God was with him.
And we apostles are witnesses of all he did throughout Israel and in
Jerusalem, where he was murdered on a cross. But God brought him back
to life again three days later and showed him to certain witnesses God
had selected beforehand not to the general public, but to us who ate
and drank with him after he rose from the dead. And he sent us to
preach the Good News everywhere and to testify that Jesus is ordained
of God to be the Judge of all-living and dead. And all the prophets
have written about him, saying that everyone who believes in him will
have their sins forgiven through his name." LBV
"Then Peter proceeded to speak and said, "In truth, I see that God
shows no partiality. Rather, in every nation whoever fears him and
acts uprightly is acceptable to him. You know the word (that) he
sent to the Israelites as he proclaimed peace through Jesus Christ,
who is Lord of all, what has happened all over Judea, beginning in
Galilee after the baptism that John preached, how God anointed Jesus
of Nazareth with the holy Spirit and power. He went about doing good
and healing all those oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
We are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews
and (in) Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree.
This man God raised (on) the third day and granted that he be visible,
not to all the people, but to us, the witnesses chosen by God in
advance, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
He commissioned us to preach to the people and testify that he is
the one appointed by God as judge of the living and the dead. To him
all the prophets bear witness, that everyone who believes in him will
receive forgiveness of sins through his name." NAB
"Peter began to speak: "I really understand now that to God every
person is the same. In every country God accepts anyone who worships
him and does what is right. You know the message that God has sent
to the people of Israel is the Good News that peace has come through
Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Lord of all people! You know what has
happened all over Judea, beginning in Galilee after John preached to
the people about baptism. You know about Jesus from Nazareth, that
God gave him the Holy Spirit and power. You know how Jesus went
everywhere doing good and healing those who were ruled by the devil,
because God was with him. We saw what Jesus did in Judea and in
Jerusalem, but the Jews in Jerusalem killed him by hanging him on
a cross. Yet, on the third day, God raised Jesus to life and caused
him to be seen, not by all the people, but only by the witnesses God
had already chosen. And we are those witnesses who ate and drank with
him after he was raised from the dead. He told us to preach to the
people and to tell them that he is the one whom God chose to be the
judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets say it is true that
all who believe in Jesus will be forgiven of their sins through Jesus'
name." NCV
"Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God
does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear
and do what is right. You know the message God sent to the people
of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who
is Lord of all. You know what has happened throughout Judea,
beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached - how God

receives forgiveness of sins through his name." NIV

Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have
