The Good News. But first the Bad news |
Christians always talk about the Good News. But first they always give us
the bad news. That is that we are all rotten sinners and are condemned and
destined by default to suffer and die in hell from the moment we are born,
because someone picked a fruit from a tree thousands of years ago.
I mean really. We only have the Christians religion's word to take for this
for a start.
But what has Adam and Eve's unfortunate affair got to do with us? We're not
responsible for what they did.
Why should a new born baby be automatically destined for hell? That's not
right.
Christians will then say that its a genetic flaw from A&E's act. But why
can't the almighty God fix a genetic flaw so the rest of us don't get caught
up in something we had nothing to do with?
Its so ridiculous when you think about it.

Excellent thinking.
Let me take you to the Garden of Eden and an interview with Adam and Eve.
Here we are, I'll go first over to Adam Who is sitting on a rock eating
strawberries; "Adam, you're the first man on earth, what are you going to
do next?" Adam responds; "Hey what are you doing here if I am the only one
on earth"?
Then I say, "Ah, don't say stuff like that Adam because Christians might
start using their brain and realize that no reporters were around to record
the first man on earth".
"Oh yeah, Adam, do you think that I can get some pictures of God taking your
rib and making Eve"?
"Oh yeah, I'd like to get some shots with you and Eve with the snake and the
forbidden apple"
"Why don't you and Eve stand next to the tree of knowledge with the tree of
life, way in the background"?
Yeah, that's it, Christians will buy anything.

Dear Andrew:
I don't recall the Bible ever talking about a "genetic flaw". It does
appear to talk about "epigenetics" in the Ten Commandments - iniquities of
the fathers being passed to the 3rd or 4th generation, however. If you
haven't familiarized yourself with how science is verifying that, Google it.
The Adam and Eve thing is different, though. In Genesis 1, God says "it is
good" after the first 6 days. He doesn't say that for the 7th day.
Although he creates Adam after the 6th day, if we are reading in
chronological order, then we can reasonably assume he knew what he created
would have imperfections. But, He doesn't tell us if He thinks his creation
of Adam is bad, good or something extra special.
Here's what I think. I think God watched what he made during the first 6
days for 14 billion years. While everything he created obeyed the laws he
put in place perfectly well, nothing qualified as being truly great. It was
only "good". On the 7th day, while he was resting, he decided to do
something extra special. He was going to give the "man" he had created in
his image, something new, a soul. A soul for the first time, had the
ability to have a personal relationship with the Creator. But, along with a
soul, God had to permit this Adam to have free will. Like Satan, Adam
misused this free will. But, instead of destroying his creation, God
allowed Adam and Eve to be "fruitful and multiply".
God hopes the descendents of Adam and Eve will make the proper decisions and
live according to God's will and earn the right to enter into Heaven with
him. The rest of the book is the history of man's trials and mistakes to
achieve that right. In addition, we see how throughout history, God keeps
giving hints about how to do that.
If God had stopped his creation with the dinosaurs, what a boring world He
would have. This one is far more interesting to us and to Him. It's like a
great big experiment. I think you'd do the same thing. And you can. You
have a computer and can create life forms in your own computer universe.
What kind of world will you create? Think it through before you start your
programming.
ps. I don't believe God ever says a new born baby is destined for Hell.
Perhaps you can point that one out to me.

It is not said specifically, but it is implied in the Christian book.
Otherwise most of Christianity would not be advocating it so passionately.

Dear Andrew,
Don't have much time. So, I'll just make a general statement here.
You are absolutely correct about Christian doctrine. It has lots of flaws
and errors and sometimes a bad track record.
But, don't make the mistake of confusing Christianity with the Bible. The
Bible is the key.
I know you don't believe it is any special book now because of all the
translations. And that is correct. Every translation has errors. But, the
errors are in the details, not in the overall meaning.
I've found it necessary to get other interpretations from Hebrew speakers to
understand just the first page. And even that falls short. Hebrew today is
different from Hebrew of thousands of years ago. So, there are some
questions that will have to remain unanswered for me.
But, I believe the Bible is a true miracle. Even I can see the wisdom of it
in English translations. What is so fascinating to me is that it changes
every time I read it. My understanding gets deeper and deeper the more I
learn from life outside the Book. I think that's the problem with
Christianity.
They seem to believe there are univeral truths that apply to everyone the
same way.
I think that's incorrect. I think the Bible is so wonderful it is actually
written just for each of us personally. We are each a part of the Book.
When we read it we merge our own knowledge and experiences with the
framework of the words of the Book. We each find exactly what we need from
that merger exactly when we need it. Remember the movie The Matrix? It's
just like that, except far deeper and far truer.
But, you can't just do it alone. You need to meet regularly with others,
the church, to test your understandings and interpretations. The Bible
tells you to "Prove all things..." Going to group meeting with other people
in your church allows you to do that. It's just like science. You see
something in nature, you interpret and you publish to find out if you are
correct or not. It's called peer review.
That's exactly what church is to me. It's a chance to test my
interpretations of the Bible in a public forum, and to review what others
have discovered. It's like being back in science class. I especially love
it when people through out things that seem to be self contradicting.
That's how science works too. With every contradiction in science, there is
opportunity to learn something brand new. Same with the Bible
contradictions and the parts that are so hard to understand.
Just my thoughts. I could be wrong and I could just wind up back where I
started as a bunch of atoms floating around in this universe, just as you
say.
Sincerely,
RJBJR

by science. The Bible can extend your life span and improve your IQ. These
are just things that are provable with today's scientific understanding.
But, it goes far beyond that. You can read about the future of science too.
I know you don't understand. To "see" the wisdom in many scientific areas
requires you to read and reread as you study the universe both with and
without the Bible. "Prove all things....."
Here's just one new scientific "discovery" that hasn't happened yet.
Physics is all excited about the "theory of everything". They are currently
focused on strings and superstring theories. Guess what? These scientists
and mathematicians will discover great insights from their work. The Bible
hints that multidimensional vibrating strings are a major fundamental
building block of the universe. But, in the end, science will discover
strings are NOT the ultimate building block. There are concepts and
mathematics much deeper than that, as the Bible tells us. Science won't
"discover" the ultimate building block for many years in the future.
But, what is the basic building block? It's not the atom. It's not the
proton. It's not the quark. It's not energy. It's not information. It's
not a string. All of these have been postulated by science over the years.
Science has progressed from one to another, deeper and deeper into the
nature of the universe. Still, that bedouin who wrote the first chapters of
the Bible provided the answer science seeks thousands of years ago.
What is the ultimate building block? I'm stopping here with you. I'll
suggest if you, or anyone else wants to know and are really interested, read
the Torah. For now, I'll refer you to Matthew 7:6.
Sincerely,
RJBJR
Just my thoughts. I could be wrong and I could just wind up back where I
started as a bunch of atoms floating around in this universe, just as you
say.
Sincerely,
RJBJR
So you don't know why a loving Creator would so violently destroy his own
creations?
Its in the Bible which you love so much.

Christians always talk about the Good News. But first they always give us
the bad news. That is that we are all rotten sinners and are condemned and
destined by default to suffer and die in hell from the moment we are born,
because someone picked a fruit from a tree thousands of years ago.
I mean really. We only have the Christians religion's word to take for
this for a start.
But what has Adam and Eve's unfortunate affair got to do with us? We're
not responsible for what they did.
Why should a new born baby be automatically destined for hell? That's not
right.
Christians will then say that its a genetic flaw from A&E's act. But why
can't the almighty God fix a genetic flaw so the rest of us don't get
caught up in something we had nothing to do with?
Its so ridiculous when you think about it.
The foundation of all religions is made up of hopes, fears, myths and
fables.
There are NO bricks or stones of reality!

No, we're destined to be sinners because of that, because we came
from Adam. Do you know of anyone who has committed absolutely
/no/ sin against God? Ever? Even in thought?
I mean really. We only have the Christians religion's word to take for this
for a start.
We have the life of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God.
We have the Word of God, that's been around for 3,500 years.
And instead you want us to take your word for it? Does your
opinion hold more weight than Jesus Christ, and the Word of God,
of which even Christ evidenced its authenticity? Or does the
opinion of the people you worship that claimed, in the late
1900's, that God told them the 'real' truth, hold more weight

Sorry, but the real problem is you don't like some uncomfortable

they feel more comfortable with.

Destined for hell by his or her own actions which will not take
long at all to surface. But destined to be saved if he or she
calls on Christ to save him or her once they realize the truth.
That's not
right.

It may seem so when you're currently rejecting God and committing

instead worshipping God as He is, there's nothing to be upset
about, as we're saved by the blood of Christ.
I mean, really: if you're saved by the blood of Christ, why get
so upset about it, unless you're less concerned with Christ, and
more concerned with not wanting to follow God on His terms, but
instead on a made up version of His terms. If you're not really

It all depends on your definition of 'sin'.
We are all in a learning and developing process. One cannot be perfect while
developing and evolving.
You expect something that is incompatible to our immediate purpose.
And keep in mind: compared to each other, and how you see people
act on the outside when they're in public, many people can seem

God is all things. All of creation. Creation cannot be pure and stainless
because it is evolving.
The Christian idea of a perfect and pure humanoid being outside of creation
is a bit immature.
Christians are a bit like the flea that thinks that the dog was created by a
giant and perfect invisible flea.
Christianity has still got a long way to go before it has things right.

Standard fraternity spiel noted.
You know that you Christians sound a bit arrogant and self-righteous when
you try to pull rank like that.

No. Study metaphysics and spirituality and find out for yourself.
That's all I ask.
Does your
opinion hold more weight than Jesus Christ, and the Word of God,
of which even Christ evidenced its authenticity?
You don't know Jesus Christ. Trust me.
And there is no such thing as the "Word of God". At least its not a mass
produced book.
Or does the
opinion of the people you worship that claimed, in the late
1900's, that God told them the 'real' truth, hold more weight
than Jesus Christ and the Word of God?
I worship no one. I seek truth.
While YOU are worshipping you are not seeking.

truths about God,
Do you know any?
and this is yet another way people try to
reject God, and instead worship their own version of God that

You are worshipping the Judeo-Christian version.
The Judeo-Christian version is not a very good version of All That Is, or
'God' as you like to call it.
But what has Adam and Eve's unfortunate affair got to do with us? We're
not
responsible for what they did.
No, but we're no better than they were. Or are you without sin in

I'm seeking and evolving. As it is meant to be.

Destined for hell by his or her own actions which will not take
long at all to surface. But destined to be saved if he or she
calls on Christ to save him or her once they realize the truth.
What if someone grows up in a family that doesn't know Christ?
That's not
right.
Christians will then say that its a genetic flaw from A&E's act. But why
can't the almighty God fix a genetic flaw so the rest of us don't get
caught
up in something we had nothing to do with?
Its so ridiculous when you think about it.
It may seem so when you're currently rejecting God and committing
idolatry and worshipping a false version of God.
Its probably because of the genetic flaw that anyone rejects God in the
first place.
Catch 22.
When you're
instead worshipping God as He is, there's nothing to be upset
about, as we're saved by the blood of Christ.
But no one knows God "as He is". All we have is someone else's flimsy
versions of God.
Should we worship graven images of God? That is all we have.
I mean, really: if you're saved by the blood of Christ, why get
so upset about it, unless you're less concerned with Christ, and
more concerned with not wanting to follow God on His terms, but
instead on a made up version of His terms.
Some day you'll see the irony of what you just said. Key word: version
Here's a clue. Only blood cults are obsessed with blood.
If you're not really
saved, then suddenly it makes perfect sense why a person would be
so up in arms about being saved and what you're being saved from,
and what state you're really in until you do.
You really need to do some study on metaphysics and spirituality and put
down that book of old misunderstood esoteric writings that's rotting your
mind.

Gabriel.
You are trying to criticise something you don't understand.
I understand perfectly well your religion is founded by a woman
who claims to have spoken directly to Jesus Christ in 1960 and
now sells it to anyone else who buys her claim (with money, no
less). Anyone looking to make a buck can do the exact same thing,
claim to have spoken to Jesus Christ, make another dishonest
version of what God is all about, and there will always be people
that reject the truth of God who will grab on to what they say as
it lets them reject God while fooling themselves (and hopefully
others to go along with them) into thinking they're actually
following God. Dangerous ground to be on, and I hope you one day
see past this to the real truth of God.
Matthew 7:22-23 KJVR
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and
in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Problem is /anyone/ can claim to have spoken with Jesus Christ,
and write their own Bible any way they see fit into a version
that a certain person is now more comfortable with as it will let
them continue in some forms of selfish sin against God, and pass
it off as "metaphysics and spirituality that people do not
understand". People have been doing exactly that for thousands of
years, more so since Christ lived among us. What this woman has
done is hardly original. How do you sift through the thousands of
such attempts and pick the one out of all of them you believe to
be the correct one? By your personal opinion.
2 Timothy 4:2-4 KJVR
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and
shall be turned unto fables.
Try instead following God's Word, and the teachings of Jesus
Christ who even supported the very same Word of God, instead of
some woman who was hearing voices.
And what does their only follower do? Come here and personally
attack Christians by comparing them to "fleas on a dog, immature,
blind, arrogant, self-righteous", and that's just for starters in
the past post or two from you. You've been insulting people for
the time I've been in here about a year. Why the insults, anger
and hate? Your unfortunate fruits of insults, anger and hate tell
us much about you and your home-made religion, and alone are
enough to show that you are not of God, that you do not yet have
the truth or love of God in your heart.
Matthew 7:15-23 KJVR
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's
clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes
of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a
corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a
corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn
down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall
enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of
my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and
in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Those from the website you mentioned don't know any more about metaphysics
and spirituality than you do because your religion has frightened you all
into wearing blinders.
This shows how you do not understand, or that you're being less
than honest. Children of God have nothing to fear from God. We
know we are going to heaven, as we've repented, and called on
Christ to save us from our sins. It's only those that reject God
and/or make up their own version of God that should be concerned
for what that's going to mean for them when their time here on
Earth is at an end.
The Christian religion is a fear and terror based religion/cult far more
than it is a love based one.
Why are you being less than honest? Since you're the one who's
always been making personal attacks since I've seen you on here,
and you continue to do so to this day.
Meanwhile you are again being less than honest: This is what the
Word of God says we are to do:
Matthew 22:35-39 KJVR
35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a
question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God
with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy
neighbor as thyself.
This is hardly the fear and terror you are trying to claim.
Fear erodes and eventually destroys love.
I hope that some day you will take your blinders off and seek the true
light.
I already have. I hope one day you seek out the truth of God's
Word from the Bible, and not a woman's version of her own bible,
where she claims to have spoken to Jesus Christ first-hand in the
1960's.
I hope one day you start following the commandments of God, and
start loving God with all your heart, rather than spend your time
attacking with insults those who do not agree with your opinion.
Re. what I'm doing in this newsgroup, if there are Christians in this group
who are misleading society then I would be criminally negligent not to speak
out against them.
So again you show how you were being less than honest. You point
the finger and accuse others of proselytizing, but now you admit
you're in here doing exactly that. If you cannot even see your
own behavior honestly, what chance have you got to see the truth
of God? I hope one day you take a closer look at your own
behavior and why it opposes the words you say.
Someone has to keep the Christians honest. Your God certainly doesn't. He
has never once rebuked a bad preacher. Explain why that is.
Listen to what you just said. You said /God/ has never once
rebuked a bad preacher. Not the pope, not the bishop, but God.
How is it you think you know /God/ never rejected such people?
That God will not reject such people? That's an amazingly bold
statement. And it's also not true: Here's a few verses from the
Word of God where it says exactly that, as we are warned to avoid
such false teachers:
Matthew 7:21-23 KJVR
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall
enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of
my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and
in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
All false preachers, teachers, and so on will be firmly rejected
by God if they don't come to the truth before their time here is
done.
And for the record, Catholicism is another false religion that
clearly contradicts the Word of God in many ways (which
unfortunately many of the people caught up in it are completely
unaware of, and are really trying to find God) in case you were
trying to make reference to that false religion and act like
that's the God many of us here praise.
You make it unfortunately clear you're going to continue to
personally attack people that disagree with you, and be less than
honest in the things you claim. In the name of Jesus Christ, I
must ask that you please stop teaching false things about God,
and please stop attacking others who are here because they know
the truth of God. You are not interested in debate (and your
fruits clearly point this out), but rather in insulting anyone
that speaks the truth of God, and being less than honest in the
things you say. Your /behavior/ contradicts your words and shows
you're not interested in finding truth, but rather personally
attacking anyone that stands in the way of your opinion, and
being less than honest all the while. I hope you one day take a
closer look at your own behavior. You say you seek truth - then
start with your own behavior as it speaks a clear testimony that
you haven't found it yet.
Meanwhile, to others that get attacked by you, this post will
hopefully serve to show God is not a truth you're aware of yet;
not a truth you have in your heart yet. This can change! Repent
and call on Christ to save you and He will!
Gabriel

Sorry, but you try to debate truth of God, when you're following
anything but truth where He is concerned. You follow the cult of
a woman in 1960 who claims to have talked with Jesus Christ, who
conveniently rejects the Bible of 3,500 years, and instead offers
a new cultish course in miracles people can buy. This cultish
'course in miracles' has long been refuted. You are of course
free to follow whatever religion anyone sells you, as is your
right, but please realize this newsgroup is about the truth of
God and Jesus Christ.
Please read one of the numerous refutations of this cult online:

This newsgroup is for those who want to discuss the truth of God,
the truth of the Word of God. It is not a place for your
proselytizing in the name of this non-Christian cult.
Thank you.
There is a saying. The more one thinks they know and understand something
the less they actually do.
How can you think you understand something when you won't even research it?
Matthew 7:22-23 KJVR
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and
in thy name done many wonderful works?

Problem is /anyone/ can claim to have spoken with Jesus Christ,
and write their own Bible any way they see fit into a version
that a certain person is now more comfortable with as it will let

I guess that must include those who never met Christ but contributed to the

it off as "metaphysics and spirituality that people do not
understand".
Even the apostles themselves didn't understand what Jesus said half the
time.
People have been doing exactly that for thousands of
years, more so since Christ lived among us. What this woman has
done is hardly original. How do you sift through the thousands of
such attempts and pick the one out of all of them you believe to
be the correct one? By your personal opinion.
By seeing how much love comes from it. God is love isn't he?
2 Timothy 4:2-4 KJVR
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears;

shall be turned unto fables.

Try instead following God's Word,

and the teachings of Jesus
Christ who even supported the very same Word of God, instead of
some woman who was hearing voices.
Nearly all of your prophets heard voices. More double standards.
And what does their only follower do?
Lol.
Your ignorance hasn't detected any other followers yet, and never will.
Come here and personally
attack Christians by comparing them to "fleas on a dog, immature,
blind, arrogant, self-righteous",
The truth is not an attack.
and that's just for starters in
the past post or two from you.
You think you know the true God. The more you think you know about divine
creation the less you do.
How can you expect to have the truth if you haven't searched for it? No
one's going to come and deliver it to you.
More out of context Bible quotes.
Christians don't know honesty and truth when they see it. That's why so many
Bible evangelists have gone loco.
Salad bar quoting noted.
Fear erodes and eventually destroys love.
I hope that some day you will take your blinders off and seek the true
light.
I already have. I hope one day you seek out the truth of God's
Word from the Bible, and not a woman's version of her own bible,
where she claims to have spoken to Jesus Christ first-hand in the
1960's.
You said that already. You sound like a pull string doll.
I hope one day you start following the commandments of God, and
start loving God with all your heart, rather than spend your time
attacking with insults those who do not agree with your opinion.
Research does not lead to opinion.
Re. what I'm doing in this newsgroup, if there are Christians in this
group
who are misleading society then I would be criminally negligent not to
speak
out against them.
Proselytizing is only if its dogma.
All false preachers, teachers, and so on will be firmly rejected
by God if they don't come to the truth before their time here is
done.
Rebuking and rejecting preachers is pointless if its not enforced by
rebuking them directly.
Generally phrased scripture verses don't qualify as personal rebukes.
And how are they supposed to correct their behaviour if God waits until
their dead to tell them?
The whole thing is stupid. And it doesn't work.
And for the record, Catholicism is another false religion that
clearly contradicts the Word of God in many ways (which
unfortunately many of the people caught up in it are completely
unaware of, and are really trying to find God) in case you were
trying to make reference to that false religion and act like
that's the God many of us here praise.
You make it unfortunately clear you're going to continue to
personally attack people that disagree with you, and be less than
Its mostly your religion I rebuke. I guess you think that that is personal
attack as well.
honest in the things you claim. In the name of Jesus Christ, I
must ask that you please stop teaching false things about God,
The Christian religion is the one doing that.
How can the Christian religion have the truth about God when it doesn't even
know what/who God is?
and please stop attacking others who are here because they know
the truth of God.
Lol.
Meanwhile, to others that get attacked by you, this post will
hopefully serve to show God is not a truth you're aware of yet;
not a truth you have in your heart yet. This can change! Repent
and call on Christ to save you and He will!
