THE GREAT GLOBAL WARMING HOAX
"...and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and
the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking
after those things which are coming on the earth..." Luke 21:25-26
FIRST IS DISBELIEF
It seemed, for many years, the possibility of Global Warming was simply
denied. Then, as evidence mounted beyond the deniable level, the idea
was that an 'average' increase in global temperatures would have little
or no consequence. Gradually, this idea began to lose support as
evidence mounted that the polar Ice Caps were melting and would cause
the sea level to rise. Still, the idea circulated that an increase of
the sea level by a few inches would cause little more than a scramble to
build sea walls.
All this early disbelief has now been dispelled - for all but a few who
suffer from denial of the most severe degree.
SECOND IS ISOLATION
That is, the attempt to isolate Global warming, and Global Average
Temperatures, from Global Weather. Therefore, an 'average' increase of
temperature would not effect or change Global Weather, or weather
patterns. That idea had already suffered defeat in the late 50's and
early 60's when weather-reporting sources began to use the term
"atypical weather pattern." Indeed, as early as the 1950's, some people
who depended on the weather for a living, such as fishermen, began to
say, "The weather is changing."
So the "experts" who study the weather (as opposed to those who study it
for their very life) began to admit that the 'average' temperature of
the earth's atmosphere did have, and was having, some effect on the
world's weather patterns.
It is not possible to isolate the temperature of the atmosphere from the
weather.
VARIATIONS OF DENIAL
Once it became obvious that Global Warming cannot be denied, an attempt
to deny it was made by claiming it is a natural, cyclic, occurrence
which can be followed throughout the earth's history.
That this is a fallacy becomes apparent when that very history of the
warming and cooling cycle is studied. Actually, the only "cycle" that
can be demonstrated with any certainty is a single solar cycle which
repeats in eleven years.
Yes, a cooling and Warming cycle can be demonstrated from the Ice Ages.
That cycle was caused by at least one major asteroid impact, (Actually,
the Flood of Noah) which caused earthquakes, volcanoes, flooding and a
massive darkening of the sky and subsequent cooling. The ice age was
followed by a warming and cooling cycle until the average, or normal,
earth temperature stabilized.
Over the normal Sun cycle there are imposed other temporary, non-cyclic,
events such as those caused by volcanoes; Krakatoa in 1883 comes to mind.
The point of this variation of denial is that this present event is not
man caused, nor is it caused by an unusual solar warming event, and thus
it is meaningless on an immediate, human, scale.
The next variation of denial is to claim that Global Warming -- now that
we acknowledge it is happening -- is caused, not by nature, but by man
himself. These false prophets tell us that Global Warming is caused by
industrialization, and specifically by the burning of fossil fuels. This
false doctrine has a twin purpose. Since the World has reached "Peak
Oil", the rich want to save the supply for them self. And, more to the
point, these false prophets are telling us that if we stop burning coal
and Oil we can save the world!
There is no provable similarity between the historic Ice Age and the
present Global Warming. The Global Cooling/Warming cycle caused by
Asteroid impact (Noah's Flood) was an instantaneous event, impacting the
entire earth in a single, if not a few, days. The warming-cooling cycle
that followed was (apparently) on a several century scale. This present
event was not instant. This present event, as measured against the last
400 years, has occurred, become apparent, in less than a hundred years.
Indeed, the 10 hottest years on modern record, over the last 400, have
been in the last twenty years.
The major Fallacy in this 'historical comparison' is that the earth is
not millions of years old, it is approximately 7 thousand years old.
However, the Ice cover of the Poles, and Greenland, is just over 4
thousand years old! All of the Ice at the Poles was deposited since the
Flood of Noah.
Denial by historical comparison is self delusion.
ONE RESULT OF GLOBAL WARMING
One result of Global Warming is the addition of Fresh Water to the sea.
If the sea lever increases by just one foot, how much fresh water is
that? I have heard estimates that a significant melting of the Greenland
Ice cap, and the poles, could raise the sea lever by 7 meters (about 20
feet).
Melting ice adds cold water to the sea. Cold water is heavy, and sinks.
But fresh water is lighter than salt water, and so there may be a
temperature and depth at with the colder and fresher water finds a
stable level.
In time the fresh water mixes with the salt water, diluting the sea's
salinity.
The Biochemistry of the sea is a consequence of its salinity. What will
be the result of diluting the sea salinity? Some coral dying has been
watched for several years, and a loss of plankton will be catastrophic
to the food chain.
The sea's depths may be colder due to the addition of more fresh ice
water, but the surface is warmer due to the warmer atmosphere. This
alteration of the temperature gradient may cause a change in the
historical currents -- such as the Gulf Stream.
If the Gulf Stream changes south by just a few degrees, England and
Europe may chill by several degrees -- since England is the same
latitude (about 51 degrees) as the toe of Hudson Bay between Ontario and
Quebec, or the northern tip of Newfoundland. This would be catastrophic
for England and Ireland!
The increase in sea level may be insignificant as compared to other
possible changes.
Secondary Consequences of Global Warming
COMPARISON OF RELATED EVENTS
There is an entire spectrum of events that are related to, or
consequences of, the World's Weather.
CHANGING WEATHER
As the 'average' temperature of the earth's atmosphere grows warmer, the
weather has changed. The temperature may indeed be measurable as an
"average," but the weather cycles have not reacted with any kind of
'average.' That is, the 'average' temperature in any specific city has
not increased by the 'global average' amount. The length of the warm
season, or the amount of rain, nor any other 'average' which can be
measured, has not altered in parallel to the 'average' increase in
atmospheric temperature.
INACCURATE MODELS
What has become apparent is, that the world's weather has become
'atypical,' or, that it is not predictable by models based on the data
gathered during the years from 1940 to 1950. Models based on data
gathered in any ten year period do not resemble those generated by data
collected by any later ten year period. Indeed, weather prediction
services have learned that generation models based on the "Average" of
all data gathered from 1940 to present are unable to predict the weather
with an acceptable degree of accuracy.
The World's Weather has become unstable.
MOST SIGNIFICANT CONSEQUENCE
The most significant human activity related to weather is food
production, by both natural and artificial means: hunting/gathering and
farming. These human activities, on which the fate of the human race
depends, are directly tied to the weather. Without the adequate supply
of food as required by the world's population, massive starvation will
occur. Massive starvation will most certainly lead to riot, war, and the
collapse of civilization.
UNRELATED EVENTS
Unrelated, that is, to the weather. However, the consequences of
unrelated events, when combined with those of a rise in the sea level
and changes in weather, become ominous.
The world's population has grown to the point that a three-year global
drop of farm production would be catastrophic.
The use of fossil fuels has grown to the point that a sudden drop in
coal, oil and energy supplies will result in a failure of the
distribution of food, with catastrophic results.
The contamination of the oceans, fresh water lakes and rivers,
interacting with changes in the weather, will also disrupt food
production and distribution.
The concatenation of all these circumstances; Global Weather Change,
over population, inadequate food supply, failing energy supply, the
disruption of distribution, consequences of war, plague or natural
disaster such as earthquake, tsunami or volcano, may almost result in
the extinction of the human race.
DISTRESS OF NATIONS
All these are signs which will distress the world's peoples...
