The Hyper Universalist says Christ died for everybody... Evangelical Universalists say you must decide to be saved. |
" Universalists believe that the God of love would not create a
person knowing that person would be destined for eternal damnation.
Thus, they concluded that any existing person must be destined for
salvation.
In all other respects Universalists followed orthodox Christian
doctrine, simply expanding the number of the saved to include all
persons. Some Universalists believe that Hell exists as a temporary
abode for those who have died unreconciled to God, but where God
continues to work with the souls in Hell and will lead them eventually
to the salvation God intends for all persons. "

putting their own spin on this, the Evangelical belief system
includes at least that part of the Hyper Universalist thinking that
Christ died for everybody but salvation is really left up to man to
complete.
indeed, the Evangelical Universalist says Christ died for everybody
but you must decide for yourself to trust in Christ or not... which is
Limited Atonement coming from the mouth of the Evangelical
Universalist.
the Hyper Universalist buys into the Papist idea that Christ's
atonement was not sufficient to redeem so that some must go on to
a Hellish Purgatory and Limbo to finish Christs incomplete atonement.
another failure at Calvary doctrine professed by people calling
themselves Christian... Christ followers.
the Evangelical Universalist offers a Savior impotent to save unless
man finishes His atonement by allowing Christs work to be effectual
when he ' makes a decision for Christ. '
in either camp, it's plain to see both parties offer an impotent
Savior... the one have a Savior who saved all though some must burn in
Hell for a while ( how long they don't say ) and the other group
profess a Savior who also failed at Calvary since many will go to
perdition.
so untenable are their doctrines that even the unbeliever wonders
what kind of Savior is being offered to him... one who died for all
but men are not saved unless they do something for God first.
so if a man decides not to be saved, then Christ paid his penalty
for nothing... and man is being offered a Savior so impotent to save
that He needs mans permission before He can move on to the next step.
with this kind of Savior, subject to the will of man, its no
surprise that the unbeliever moves on to something else.

Hyper Universalism and Evangelical Universalism isn't amazing grace,
this is amazing heresy.
thanks be to God that the atonement of Christ is all together
effectual to those whom God chooses to redeem, ( Eph. 1:3-14 ) apart
from works, and that the wrath of His justice will be effectual on
those cursed by Him. Mt. 7:21-23; Mt. 25:4; Lk. 13:27
