In the commentary posted above you will hear it said that "the United
States in the Most Powerful Nation in the world today." In fact, the
Unites States has been the dominating force and power of the world sine
1945, ans has (for all intents and purposes) ruled Europe (if not the
entire world) since 1945.
If Babylon was the Richest, most corrupt and powerful nation in the
world during her day, then can we use the name "Babylon" as a metaphor
for the United States?
Many of the people and governments of the world now hate the United
States, and believe the war in Iraq is illegal, in fact, aggression to
seize the Natural Resources (Oil) of Iraq.
What will be the consequences to the United States Illegal War of
conquest of Iraq?
I really doubt that many of you will care to investigate the questions
asked above...
....but maybe one or two of you will love truth enough to look it in the
eyes.

Nope.
Any reduction of the price of oil and oil products (gas, lubricants, jet
and truck fuel, pesticides, fertilizer and etc, etc,) will be temporary.
The cost of Oil -- and everything related to Oil -- will continue to rise.

You've got to be kidding. Was I supposed to look into the eyes of the
cartoon kitties and see the "truth"?
I watched for 1 minute, 15 seconds until the lead cartoon cat said "we
like the libraries at UCLA because they're really fancy".

I sure hear a lot of that rhetoric from the EXTREME Left!
Hillary shrieks it frequently... after she voted FOR the war!
I think the WISE would wait a few years until a LOT more of the
FACTS come out about this one.
I think it's the foolish who RUSH in to judge.
"You've had your 2 cents; now I've had mine."
"I respectfully disagree with you; but I disagree."
And there is absolutely scriptural authority for invading and
liberating Iraq, no matter how it turns out.
Interestingly enough, the same Republicans who were talking
impeaching the President several months ago are no longer talking
impeaching him.
Evidently, the most rabid Left of our LAWMAKERS know they have NO
CAUSE WHATEVER for impeaching the President.
Look at this this way: Suppose in 6 months something unforeseen
happens that turns this war situation around 180, and we make MAJOR
progress. If George W Bush leaves office with a Democratic,
citizen-elected Iraq, and it's WORKING, that's quite a feather in his
cap.
And I think WAY too many people in this country-- and elsewhere--
particularly those on the Extreme Left, forget one VERY important
thing. How VERY MANY lives were lost, how very much blood was spilt,
to establish America.
I forget what great statesman once said, "The price of freedom is
ALWAYS human blood."
Those who would not rather be dead than captive will always be
captives. ONLY when a people choose that they would rather DIE than
remain under tyranny will they overthrow tyranny.
We have given the Iraqi people a "hand up" in their desire to be
FREE. And the ELECTIONS they've held now at least TWICE proves they
want to be FREE.
How many dozens of Iraqis dared the street gangs in order to go and
VOTE? And how many dozens were MURDERED-- s hot down in the street--
for NO reason than they had chosen FREEDOM!
Saddam never gave them that choice!
And we gave Saddam a TRIAL; something he never allowed the HUNDREDS
of THOUSANDS HE murdered!

I sure hear a lot of that rhetoric from the EXTREME Left!
Hillary shrieks it frequently... after she voted FOR the war!
In other words, you lack the integrity to make a moral decision on your
own and will wait for your first leaders to will make one for you.
I think the WISE would wait a few years until a LOT more of the
FACTS come out about this one.
What makes you think the facts will come out, this administration has
been very good about simply overlooking facts and doing what it damn
sight well wants to do. But then again, the joke is you thinking and
using the word wise in a same day. Especially when you try to apply at
yourself or forward it as a point of view that everybody else should
follow.
I think it's the foolish who RUSH in to judge.
What you think has been verified as being erroneous, quite frequently in
the past, and we've had over four years of watching this murder and
mayhem and illegal toppling of another sovereign government. This war is
wrong in so many ways, it's impossible to know where to start. Of
course, that would require somebody to have ethics to even start. And
you are excused from the room when the subject comes up.
"You've had your 2 cents; now I've had mine."
That you bloated into 10 dollars worth, and are going to continue to try
to bloat it into even more than that.
"I respectfully disagree with you; but I disagree."
Your privilege as long as you are a member of a free society.
And there is absolutely scriptural authority for invading and
liberating Iraq, no matter how it turns out.
Of course there is, the nice thing about the Greek Testament, you can
justify murder and mayhem in the name of god. You might say it's a
tradition of xianity.
Interestingly enough, the same Republicans who were talking
impeaching the President several months ago are no longer talking
impeaching him.
<Cynic mode> They got reelected</cynic mode>.
Evidently, the most rabid Left of our LAWMAKERS know they have NO
CAUSE WHATEVER for impeaching the President.
They have cause, and they know this. However, they too are part of the
American electorate and are too damn spineless to do their job.
Look at this this way: Suppose in 6 months something unforeseen
happens that turns this war situation around 180, and we make MAJOR
progress. If George W Bush leaves office with a Democratic,
citizen-elected Iraq, and it's WORKING, that's quite a feather in his
cap.
Look at this way, supposing some six months there is no longer in Iraq
and Iran has been invaded as well. Suppose in six months, the American
military has been effectively gutted as a defensive force. You can
suppose anything you want to, but the problem exists now and should be
ethically and morally, resolved now. Granted will always be beyond your
ability to comprehend what anybody else is saying, because it does not
agree which are limited understanding of reality. Where you are always
correct.
And I think WAY too many people in this country-- and elsewhere--
particularly those on the Extreme Left, forget one VERY important
thing. How VERY MANY lives were lost, how very much blood was spilt,
to establish America.
Two entirely different situations, and supposedly with your vast
knowledge and education, you would realize that.
The American Revolution was starred internally and against a seated and
legal sovereign.
In the case of Iraq, the invasion was external and without cause.
I forget what great statesman once said, "The price of freedom is
ALWAYS human blood."
Probably none.
Those who would not rather be dead than captive will always be
captives. ONLY when a people choose that they would rather DIE than
remain under tyranny will they overthrow tyranny.
Then you will be a slave forever. But you hit on an important subject
was, you realize it or not, the Iraqi people. They were quite content
with what they had and they were the only ones with the sovereign right
to overthrow their government. They has elected not to do so.
We have given the Iraqi people a "hand up" in their desire to be
FREE. And the ELECTIONS they've held now at least TWICE proves they
want to be FREE.
You're drunk, stupid, confused, or all the above at the same time. They
had no choice but to hold the elections, they held elections under Saddam
Hussain. They have went from the most religiously tolerant country in
the Middle East to a hotbed of fanatics, religious fanatics. Their
infrastructure has been literally destroyed for all practical purposes.
But the oil keeps flowing.
How many dozens of Iraqis dared the street gangs in order to go and
VOTE? And how many dozens were MURDERED-- s hot down in the street--
for NO reason than they had chosen FREEDOM!
We'll never know the reasons they were killed, and you are not there and
are among the least qualified to declare what those reasons must have
been.
Saddam never gave them that choice!
And we gave Saddam a TRIAL; something he never allowed the HUNDREDS
of THOUSANDS HE murdered!
A kangaroo court you mean. Anybody, it did not understand what the
verdict was going to be in advance was ate up with the dumb *****, as badly
as you.
No one would say that Saddam Hussein needed to go, but that was not the
college United States Government and George W. Bush, the current idiot in
charge. Actually, you can make that the current puppet idiot in charge.
john w
Which wannabe this time Johnny, the self-proclaimed political
commentator™ that does not understand the social dynamics of the Middle
East, and could care less. His point of view is the only one that is
possibly correct. Even though it is totally in error. A role he played
rather well. On almost any subject you to do speak about. You come
across as the uninformed, trying to convince everybody else that you are
more than what we all know you as. A self-centered, arrogant, pitiful,
pathetic excuse of a human being trying to play god.
walksalone who has a fair understanding of what is legitimate in the way
of starting wars, securing your oil supply at the expense of a sovereign
government is not one of them. It is ethically and morally bankrupt.
But then, the same can be said for our leadership at this time.
And here we have Johnny in one of his standard routines. You have to
believe this because I said so assumptions.
but you have ABSOLUTELY not one SHRED of PROOF!
Of what? Did you not read that I've personally visited one of the 1st
century churches Paul built? In Ephesus, Turkey?
Plus there is much internal evidence, like the prophesies, and the
miracles, which continue to day.
And you've proved MY point. I have given you proof. The 1st century
church I visited. 1st century cornerstone and everything.
What you don't wish to believe you simply ignore. That's not lack of
proof. That's proof bouncing off your granite noggin.
"For the believer, no proof is required; for the non-believer, no
proof is sufficient."
You aren't asking questions that can be answered. You are making
statements that indicate your mind is made up in absence of all the
facts.
