Object: The Mystery Of The Hovind Ph.D Dissertation
Here is a little tale for all to hear, having heard much about Mr
Hovind's dissertation that earned him his Ph.D in Christian Education
I decided that it would be a good idea to take a look at it myself
rather than judge it purely on the comments I read on a website
recently.
So I contacted the Patriot Bible University and asked them on several
occasions if they would be kind enough to contact Mr Hovind and see if
he would grant his permission to allow me to see a copy of his work.
Eventually they declined to do this, and suggested that I contact Mr
Hovind personally. This would be a little difficult as I live a few
thousand miles from where he is presently incarcerated.
So I decided to contact the Creation Science Evangelism website and
see if they would be so kind as to contact Mr Hovind to see if he
would grant his permission to allow me to see a copy of his work.
They have also declined to do this, but made no suggestion with
respect to me contacting Mr Hovind myself.
I find it very strange that Mr Hovind wont place his dissertation in
the public domain, and that the PBU and the CSE are both reluctant to
contact him to see if he will grant his permission for me to see a
copy of his work.
Perhaps someone can enlighten me as to why they are like this, after
all if his work was good enough to earn him a Ph.D then it shouldnt
contain anything that he should be ashamed of or unwilling to let
anyone else see.

<snip>
Patriot doesn't have it; they gave it away. I believe it was posted
to Usenet at one point. I only mention this because Hovind has had a
document on his site which he calls his "thesis" but which is in fact
a completely different--and dynamic--document.

Rev Hovind claimed he "lost" his "thesis."

You are traversing well trodden ground. Just google "Hovind
dissertation" to see a lot more.

Of course you already know that, but just for the lurkers out there... ;)
....maybe, just maybe, hoover only desired a PhD to better impress his
victims - maybe he just bought a PhD based on some minimum-standard babble
that won't be nearly enough anywhere else than in a "christian
university" (read: diploma mill)? In this case, obviously, he'd do his best
to hide the contents of this bullcrap babble from the public...
Lemme guess how much truth there is in there, considering how scientifically
incompetent hoover comes across in his "seminars"... oh well... ;)

Because of course it isn't good enough to earn anyone a Ph.D.
You can't really be surprised by this, can you?
