The Pauline error (not by "faith")! |
Based on a mistake in the Septagint Greek translation of GENESIS 15:6,
Pauline Christianity, particularly its Protestant version, has
mistakenly attributed "righteousness" to a simple belief ("faith without
works of the Law"). In fact the passage says it is ABRAHAM who is
praising GOD for GOD'S righteousness. The entire Pauline doctrine of
justification by faith (Romans 4:3) is NOT based on the original Hebrew
text. This is why that error is soundly denounced in JAMES as total
foolishness. -- L.

Interesting. Could you expand a bit on what the mistranslation consisted of?
