He referred to one of my reference posts -- but out of the usual
desperation so often observed on the part of loons whose agendas
don't have a snowflake's chance in a blast furnace -- instead of
referencing the ACTUAL post, he referred instead to a hate-site
operated by a very idiotic TROLL, who had adulterated the post.
IOW -- "Hate Feminism" didn't have the GUTS to be HONEST.
The "time machine" analogy that I've applied for several years to
the remedy of abortion just scares the living hell out of the bigots
who are ignorant and hateful enough to BE Anti-Choicers.
And **that** is FUNNIER than hell. There's nothing much MORE
funny than to see those loons scampering around like crazed rabbits
when confronted by the FACTS.
And the FACT of the matter is THIS ---
While, to the best of our knowledge, no one has ever yet managed
to construct an *actual* time machine... it DOES have an amazingly
close ANALOGUE, in terms of the beneficial effect that the analogue
has on the lives of around a BILLION (yes -- with a "B") women,
worldwide, over any given 18-year-long period.
Consider the reason that time travel stories are so *fascinating*
to people. It's not just because it allows us to fantasize about what
it might be like to be able to visit the future. But probably even
MORE because it allows us to mentally play the "what if" game, and
speculate upon how different things might have been if, at some nexus
point in our past, we had made a DIFFERENT decision.
Unfortunately, since no time machines exist, and because what has
been done usually is irreversible, speculating is about all we can
ever do. The events that follow the undesirable nexus point almost
ever are forever immutable, and there is no way to undo the damage.
The GOOD news is that there is an **enormously**-beneficial
REMEDY that *emulates* time travel VERY well, in terms of being
able to totally UNDO a truly disastrous mistake. And it is the remedy
of abortion, which, for the above-mentioned BILLION women, immed-
iately UNDOES the potential damage done by **unwanted** preg-
nancy... not just days, but even weeks, or even months later.
That is a quantum leap BETTER than speculating on what *could*
have been, had the mistake not been made.
(And it should be pointed out, as an aside, that the vast majority
of women who choose to put their lives back on track via abortion,
when the timing for pregnancy is wrong, go on to HAVE children,
*also* by **choice**, later on, when their circumstances have
improved, thus giving the *resulting* children a far BETTER likelihood
of being born into stable and loving environments than the earlier
ones would have had if the women had been forced to gestate-to-
term when the timing was inopportune, against their will.)
The "time machine" effect of abortion immediately RESTORES
the woman's well-being and full range of future opportunities to
PRE-ill-timed-pregnancy levels... just as though the unwanted
pregnancy had never occurred. Perhaps more than anything else
in society -- and surely, to a far greater extent than anything else
-- this RESTORATIVE capability of the remedy of abortion to enable
a woman's life to be PRE-pregnancy-NORMAL again, is indeed the
**closest** thing to a working time machine that society has.
And that scares the living hall out of the hateful and ignorant
Anti-Choice control-freaks/bigots.
Because it is the aspect they cannot ever fight effectively.
It is the aspect that ultimately will DESTROY their loathsome
agenda against women, and drive it into EXTINCTION, forevermore.
Where it has ALWAYS belonged.
Good riddance to it!
