Object: the Spirit Himself intercedes for [us] with groanings too deep for words ( not 'tongues' )
" Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not
know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. "
Ro. 8:26
*************************************************
somehow, out of this verse, the signs and wonders congregations say
these " groanings " are they themselves speaking in tongues.
this would tell them they are filled with the Holy Spirit, of which
speaking in tongues is the sure sign, and they've arrived at this
conclusion because they believe that righteousness is by some sinners
prayer offered by their denomination, or by some decision they have
made to accept Jesus... as though God is subject to man.
here in this verse the Apostle says that it is God's Holy Spirit who
does the intercessing and He does it with groanings to deep for words.
somehow they say they do it by talking in tongues.
the Bible phrase " too deep " is rendered such from a Greek word
meaning " unutterable "... how is it then that tongues are referred to
in this verse is untenable... just as with the Bible word " groanigs "
which simply means " sigh " ... prayers to God expressed
inarticulately by God to God in this case.
so here we have a people claiming their groanings are too deep for
words but somehow it's them talking in tongues.
we know tongues have ceased 2000 years ago and have only come back
on the scene since Agnes Ozman began promoting such in her Methodist
congregation a hundred years ago. women speaking in church is not
allowed by God so we know it wasn't the Living God prompting her to
blaspheme as well as the minister in charge. 1 Cor. 14:34
but such is the case in these last days as God sends strong delusion
on the wicked who delight in such things.

"we know tongues have ceased 2000 years ago ", - and you know this how?
You who claim to base what you believe in the scriptures, but you offer
no support for such a conclusion! If you are wrong, then the rest of
your post is complete hogwash!
As it is, your logic and deductions are pretty much trolling hogwash to
start with, so you need all the support you can come up with. If you
choose to roll around in your hogwash, then don't be suprised if you
end up smelling ... well, - like a hog!
Come on OMJ, you can do better than this!
The Eastgate is open, the King is in Residence! Whosoever will, may
come in!
