The whole world is on a catastrophe course |
The whole world is on a catastrophe course
At the Tsunami catastrophe people were speaking both nights and days
about the terrible earthquake. The newspapers wrote and showed big
pictures from the catastrophe places. But they mention nothing about to
repent and humble themselves before the Lord or to receive the salvation
through Jesus Christ. They do not see any connection between people's sins
and the judgement of God. For a long time Thailand has been a haunt for
sex criminals. Many men from Sweden, and other countries, have been
travelling to Thailand only for the purpose to devote themselves to
prostitution. Several times we could read about this in Newspapers, and
heard in the news on the radio.
Nevertheless, now they ask: If an almighty and good God does exist, how
can he allow such a terrible catastrophe to come? This is not at all odd.
By reading the Bible we find the answer on this question.
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men
shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that
are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers
of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from
such turn away. 2 Tim. 3:1-5.
This is a description how people are today. The attitude to homosexuality,
allowing the marriage of people of the same gender, has also kindled God's
anger. If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of
them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death;
their blood shall be upon them. Leviticus 20:13. They mean that this is
something so old that we cannot take notice about it. It is thousands of
years since it becomes written in the Bible. Yet, God is the same now as
he was then, and it is he that repays the unrighteousness according to their
deeds. He will judge them according to their deeds, and after that they have
no voice in the matter, and no one take any notice of their opinion.
Rom. 2:6. 2 Peter 2:9-10.
Instead of asking how a good God can allow such a catastrophe, we must
ask: How can people were so hateful and show contempt against the good
God? They also deny his existence.
He sent his Son to our salvation, and Jesus let himself be offered on the
cross for ours sins. He offers us an eternal life and heaven's glory. But
people do not believe him.
Jesus has also warned about the consequences for them that persist in
their sins and do not care about God's offer of grace. None another in the
Bible has warned so much about the eternal punishment as Jesus has
done. He has warned about judgement against countries and people.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled:
for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation
shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall
be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these
are the beginning of sorrows. Matt. 24:6-8. How many "accidents" must
happen before the people awake and begin to ask for the Lord?
This incomprehensible devastation that has now happened is only a
beginning to what that is to hit the whole world. That the catastrophe
came just at Christmas is not difficult to understand. Most celebrating
has made Christmas to a big blasphemy. They do not believe in Jesus
and do not take notice of his word in the Bible, neither what he says
today. They do not celebrate Christmas as Jesus' birthday, but only for
their own pleasure.
In the reality, the Christmas is no Christian festival. None knows which
date Jesus became born. And the Bible says nothing about keeping of
Christmas, with early Christmas Day service, Lucia, Christmas presents,
Christmas trees and much merry food.
Rejecting the salvation, which God gave through Jesus Christ, but yet
pretend to be Christians and celebrate his birthday, it must be a blasphemy
against God. This happens in the churches. Churches inspire people that
they are Christians and that repentance and baptism is not needed. They
trust in on their christening, the infant baptism and confirmation in
church.
They live and die in the faith on the church's false doctrine, and go to
hell.
And free-churches preachers that profess them as saved, and ought to have
better insight in God's word, they do nothing to stop the church's false
doctrine. Instead they can have ecumenical appointments in churches, and
bid in the false priesthood to their free-churches.
Churches and denominations are no mediators between God and people.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus; 1 Tim. 2:5.
Many believe that after the death, there is nothing. When they die, all get
its end. Therefore, they are entirely unprepared on what that happens
when they die. It is no end at all. The time just continues, and we too. You
go either to heaven or to hell. You can decide, but you must do it before
you die. After the death it is too later. You either accept and receive the
salvation that God offers you through Jesus Christ, and get forgiveness for
all sins and go to heaven, or you reject God's offering, and want not to
believe his word, and go to hell, and get full retribution for all sins.
It is said that we cannot be prepared for such a big catastrophe. But if you
receive the salvation that God offers by Jesus Christ, then you are prepared
whatever that happens. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and
whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die,
we are the Lord's. Rom. 14:8. This is the only way to be prepared.
It is no other way to become free from sins and escape punishment for
sins. Setting fire to candles and pray for the dead are not to any use for
the dead. If they have not received God's grace to salvation while they
lived, then they are eternally lost. Most people do not want to believe
on God's word, and they go to hell. The unbelief is the reason to all
other sins and hinders people to receive God's grace to salvation.
In the Bible are many prophecies about how this age will conclude with
a judgement of God. Amos 3:6-7. Zephaniah 1:14-18. Isaiah 13:3-13.
24:16, 19-23. Joel 2. Amos 5:18.
