The World is Getting Better? |
The World is Getting Better?
A look around will certainly show that things are getting better in this
old world. Actually that is a lie. Only the God-haters hope that it is
getting better. Those who live in reality realize that the world is on a
steepening slope downward. Not only is the world's energy level
dropping(magnetic flux, worsening weather, global warming, oil reserves
declining, etc.) but the moral and physical condition of man is slipping
at a bounding rate. God-haters(humanists, evolutionists, democrats,
socialists and utopians) are seeing the real outcome of their stupid and
dangerous philosophies and practices all around them but they are for the
most part in denial.
These pathetic creatures are in a panic to try and remove any sembalance
of God from the earth. They, of course, will fail as they always do and
the world that they make will be their own destruction. Shouting, crying,
bombasting that man will be victorious on his own is the mantra of losers
and the damned.

many times every second, yet mysteriously the appliances keep
operating.
Also, I heard that known world oil reserves are rising as technology
allows us to detect oil deposits deeper below the surface and in more
hostile climates. This guy not only seems to be unaware of basic
world facts but he is also living off of political rhetoric from the
1970's gasoline retail supply shortages. He probably voted for Carter!
All I can say is: Climb into the current century, Dude! The real
concern is air pollution.

attempt to remove God from the Earth (as if God needed our help to

States Constitution which forbids religious groups or persons from
using government resources to further their religion?

better?
What are you doing today that the you of say 800 years ago would not
have done?
or 50 years?
if the world is getting better it is getting better because of the
hearts and minds of individuals, of you and of me.
so how in your world with the people you meet daily are you making it
a more hospitable place?
tonite someone is weeping because of her child
tonite a man sits alone with his head in his hands
a cold indifferent sky meets his gaze
how do we have more community and sharing than before?
how are we more respectful?
how do we treat the old?
the poor?
not some anonymous statistic, but how is this better standqard of
living reflected in what you give out to others you see daily?
strangers and friends and family?
has technology outpaced advances in the human heart and imagination?
last week all week long they had a tv show that had footage of the war
and letters from soldiers all over the wolrd to home. some were
written just before they were captured and killed.
to hear those words in the midst of all of that bloodshed and thinking
of what they gave up for us, and would they shake their heads if they
looked at what they fought for?
history gives us chapters written in clusters of years and wars and
our understanding pales
then we read the words written by the anonymous soliders and it tells
such a different story than the history books, only concerned with
victory and losses and causes and strategies
these words stand as monument to the ambiguity of the times
Neitzche and Freud were kind of prophets in their day giving us a
forwarning of things to come
we are not even one life time away from the death of innocence and yet
we sleep persistently in a Salvidor Dali dream
the old war heros are left to their silence and annual remembrances
we honor them in ceremony only

Interestingly, I find that most fundmentalists are the real God haters.
They hate Thor, and Vishnu, and Manitou and Indira and any other God but
the one or three they happen to believe in. Evolution is about biology,
democrats are about politics, socialists are mostly Christian in this
world, and utopians??? My heavens, what a terrific hatred utopians have

Uhhh, let me remind you that the Republicans have been in control in the US
for the last three years. You can hardly blame the democrats for their
disastrous mistakes.
As for energy levels dropping, let me remind you that warming is an energy
*increase*. Worsening weather may indeed be a result of global warming, but
the weather is worse in that the storms frequently exhibit *more* energy,
rather than less. And since Republicans have been the people who want to
remove all pollution controls, jack up oil production and ignore alternate
energy sources, how do they escape your list of bad guys? It seems to me
that they are just as responsible for declining oil reserves and global
warming as anyone else.
As for pathetic creatures, you peg democrats in general as "God-haters"?
That is probably one of the most pathetic characterizations I have heard in
all of my life! It is so transparently false I wonder that you say it so
blatantly. Are you really a Christian, or are you an atheist playing a

A characteristic of fundamentalism is to try to oversimplify the world.
Great sweeping generalizations and condemnations are made, and if their
friends get caught in their witch-hunts (as they frequently do), so be it.
Fundamentalists factionalize and marginalize themselves, redefining the
"truth" in ever tighter terms, alienating those who are on the fringe at
each iteration. They make their own increasingly small group the only "true
believers", gladly consigning all who are caught outside their shrinking
circle with them even slightly to the pit of hell. They are so busy looking
forward to getting out of the world that they have no time left to truly
evangelize it.
