3:10 where the Greek word used is hairetikón which indeed includes heretic
and those teaching heresies are indeed heretical. Thayer's Greek Lexicon
defines hairetikón as "a follower of false doctrine" but Bible Bob might
feel that his knowledge of Koine Greek is superior to Thayer's. Vine's
Greek/Hebrew Lexicon defines it as being "heretical." Furthermore, Strong's
Greek/Hebrew Dictionary also supports the definition as being "heretic." But
Bible Bob probably considers his knowledge of Koine Greek to be superior to
Vine's and Strong's. Interesting thing though is that Bible Bob has shown
errors in his claims of the Greek in the past. Some of which even first year
students taking Biblical languages don't make. So the only logical
conclusion is that his claim of superior knowledge and understanding is
moot. I honestly don't know where he has gotten his information nor do I
really care. The Bereanic conclusion is that Bible Bob denies essentials of
the Christian faith through not naive or innocent lack of knowledge and
understanding but a willful disregard for facts and truths. His use of
logical fallacies and dishonest tactics further give evidence of his
heretical nature. And although he started off politely enough, you and I are
witnessing his descent into wicked responses which are abhorant in God's
eyes. I will keep you in my prayers.
