I want to apologize to you for accusing you of altering my post and
then lying about it. It occurred to me tonight that you probably just
made an honest mistake and thought the one line of text applied to
what preceded it (John's gospel) instead of what followed it (which
was The Lord of Hosts said, or something like that) because the only
indication was a line-space and a : and they are hard to miss.
I want to explain though that we had this misunderstanding because you
have accused me of being a Fundamentalist (and you must know they
wouldn't consider me one by now) and say awful things about
Fundamentalists, and so I really thought you were messing with me when
you commented, 'there is no Lord of hosts in John's gospel' or
Revelation or whatever it was you posted.
I've come to believe that often people argue here like that for those
very reasons; someone makes an honest mistake (we're up all night
typing furiously so it is no big surprise to make a mistake), but
because of past comments, it is believed to be deliberate and then the
accusations and counter-accusations start.
Anyway.
I do apologize for calling you a liar and saying you altered my post
on purpose. I take it back, and I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings and
made you look bad in writing.
Also, I didn't say that about praying for you to make me look 'right'
and you 'wrong'; I just wanted to stop arguing over the matter.
I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions, and when you kept asking
where? this happened, I should have believed you. Again, I'm sorry.
