Hi Misty,
Are you saying that both the Old and the New Testaments are the two
Witnesses of Revelation 11? How can this be? I believe the Two Witnesses
will be 2 men; how could it be otherwise?
The two witnesses will prophesy for a period of 1,260 days or 42 months.
These two men have yet to die and they are very special because God is
going to send them to the earth for 3 1/2 years to preach and do many
marvelous and awesome signs and wonders... Shutting up heaven, halting
the rain, turning waters into blood, countless plagues, fire will proceed
out of their mouths (like Moses and Eliyah did). They are going to be
hated so much that the world is going to send each other presents for the
three days that they remain dead on the streets. Let's read the verses:
Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall
prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in
sackcloth.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks
standing before the God of the earth.
Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their
mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he
must in this manner be killed.
Rev 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days
of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and
to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast
that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and
shall overcome them, and kill them.
Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great
city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord
was crucified.
Rev 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations
shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer
their dead bodies to be put in graves.
Rev 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them,
and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two
prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
Rev 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God
entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell
upon them which saw them.
Rev 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them,
Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their
enemies beheld them.
THE TESTIMONY OF TWO WITNESSES:
Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall
prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in
sackcloth.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks
standing before the God of the earth.
Zech 4:14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by
the Lord of the whole earth.
John 8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men
is true.
Remember Enoch and Elijah are both "witnesses"...what does a witness do?
He testifies to what he has seen and heard. It is very possible that
these two witnesses were the ones found in the Scriptures below:
Luke 24:4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout,
behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
Acts 1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up,
behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Notice: the Bible does not say "Angels" but "two men." Therefore the two
Witnesses must be 2 human beings.

Hi Misty,
Are you saying that both the Old and the New Testaments are the two
Witnesses of Revelation 11? How can this be? I believe the Two Witnesses
will be 2 men; how could it be otherwise?
Hello "Christian",
It sure seems to fit none other;
The two witnesses will prophesy for a period of 1,260 days or 42 months.
The 1260 "Prophetic" Days are subject to "THE KEYS OF PROPHECY" and when
Applied that 1260 "Days" becomes 1260 "LITERAL YEARS" and it also fits
the same time period of the time the "Woman" that gave birth to the male
Child was to be protected in the wilderness or desert of Rev 12.
Revelation 11, 12 and 13 all have this same period of time.
The "Keys" may be recognized in, "Numbers 14:34" and "Ezekiel 4:4-6"
If you can read that there. All bible prophesies are under some kind of
Parable or Code and it is up to us to be wise enough to recognize them.
Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall
prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in
sackcloth.
This is one more time that the "Keys" of prophecy needs to be utilized.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks
standing before the God of the earth.
If They are men then how is it they can be olive trees, and Candlesticks?
Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their
mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he
must in this manner be killed.
The Bible has wonderful powers because of the great Truth it has and that
"Truth" has the ability to burn up any lies that try to pervert it.
(The Fire of Hell is only the application of "THE TRUTH").
Rev 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days
of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and
to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
God waters us with His Word, Rain is water, The Bible Is God's Written
Word, Jesus is God's Living Word. It is the bible that introduces us
to Both The LIving Word and The Written Word Of God.
Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast
that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and
shall overcome them, and kill them.
During the "Dark Ages" There was not very much learning going on Let alone
"Bible reading", OH the Dark ages were the same time as the Great
TRibulation. One was Predicted in the Prophesies of the Bible, the other
one was lived out in History! Oh Could that be "Prophecy Fulfilled"?
Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great
city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord
was crucified.
The Vatican and the ones that sat on that chair were Crucifying Jesus
Just as they are doing yet today after the Wound was healed.
Rev 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations
shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer
their dead bodies to be put in graves.
There are 42 months in 3.5 years.
There is also 1260 DAys in 3.5 years of Prophecy.
Rev 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them,
and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two
prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
The Bible has profound words that cut to the quick of all that read it or
it is read out loud to.
Rev 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God
entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell
upon them which saw them.
The advent of the printing press eventually produces bible so it remains
the Number one best seller for years.
Rev 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them,
Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their
enemies beheld them.
OH, yes Even God Approves of the Bible to do what it is God designed to to.
THE TESTIMONY OF TWO WITNESSES:
Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall
prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in
sackcloth.
The Bible was not very Popular all during the Dark ages and toward the end
of them, and in fact because of It the dark ages turned into the age of
enlightenment at the close of that time period in History.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks
standing before the God of the earth.
Zech 4:14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by
the Lord of the whole earth.
God Inspired Both The Old and The New Testaments to be produced by People.
John 8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men
is true.
LIke I said Both Testaments witness of Jesus Christ.
Remember Enoch and Elijah are both "witnesses"...what does a witness do?
He testifies to what he has seen and heard. It is very possible that
these two witnesses were the ones found in the Scriptures below:
Enoch what no more because God took Him Genesis 5:21-24
And Elijah was John The Baptist if you can except it as Jesus says.
Matthew 11:14.
What is the "testimony of a witness called?
it is called a "testament" Now we have 2 of them The OLd and The New.
Luke 24:4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout,
behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
Those two represented the 2 covenants, the old and the New covenants.
Acts 1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up,
behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Notice: the Bible does not say "Angels" but "two men." Therefore the two
Witnesses must be 2 human beings.
I think there was 2 also in the grave were Jesus was laid also Luke
24,
What do you say?
I say thank you very much for your reply and the very good discussion.
IN His Word,

will be 2 men; how could it be otherwise?
Hogwash to wash away the fear of who they truly are.
Lets say they killed the Bible in France, It lived elsewhere.(simple
reasoning)
This is what the Bible says:
7.******* -The Two Witnesses-
*Rev. 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks
standing before the God of the earth.
*Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their
mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he
must in this manner be killed.
*Rev 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the
days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to
blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
*Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast
that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them,
and shall overcome them, and kill them.
*Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great
city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord
was crucified.
*Rev 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations
shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not
suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
*Rev 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them,
and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two
prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
Prophets?
*Rev 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from
God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear
fell upon them which saw them.
*Rev 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them,
Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their
enemies beheld them.
*Rev 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the
tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men
seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the
God of heaven.
In Zechariah 4:2-4 we read this:
"And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and
behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and
his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are
upon the top thereof: And two olive trees by it, one upon the right
side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. So I
answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are
these, my lord?"
*Zechariah 4:5-6 "Then the angel that talked with me answered and said
unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the
LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my
spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."
His spirit ?
*Rev 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings
and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the
throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
The 7 spirits of God are 7 lamps of fire.
2 are sent to us.
What are lamps of fire ?-a fitting description of an Angel of the LORD
id say.
*Rev 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the
four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had
been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven
Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Horns and Eyes represent Leaders and Hosts, powerful spirits indeed
who patrol the earth.
[*]So, to roll it up I think the Two Witnesses are 2 spirits of God
sent from Heaven, sent as prophets to earth.
I believe just as Christ was reborn in mans body, from spirit to
flesh, so too must the 2 spirits of God be borne into flesh and return
unto spirit.
That which is born of spirit cannot die, it has to put on flesh.
Jesus said: *Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and
that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Also:
* Gen 19:1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in
the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he
bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
(get a free Bible below and read the story)
Two Angels were sent to Sodom and Gomorrah to take a report of the
sinfulness and to Witness it first hand, for the stinch of sin had
reached Heaven. Two Angels destroyed the Citys with fire because they
could not find ONE single good man or woman, and I believe it will
happen again. Thats how fair our God is. See, He aint pointing no
fingers, its just too dangerous, the Heavens would shake, He uses Us
and Them.

Hi
Consider the word witness.
Jesus said to his disciples you are my witnesses.
They were anointed with the Holy Spirit and sent out into the world.
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you:
and ye shall be my both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and
unto the uttermost part of the earth.
I have been to evangelical churches, where they send out each individual to
tell their testimony. Each is therefore a witness of God and His work in
their personal lives by their testimony.
Two does not necessarily need to be two people, it can be two kinds of
people. It can be many people sent out in pairs. It can be people of the old
testament, seeing the fulfillment of prophecy and bearing witness of it, and
likewise people of the new testament also bearing witness of the prophecies
being fulfilled. One major aspect that will be fulfilled about this time is
the Peace Treaty from Daniel 9:27. For it marks the Final 7 years starting,
with no more delays and no more mysteries.
See another post in alt.bible.prophecy undertopic
heading: "3rd temple = dan 9v26,27"
Many are waiting for this peace treaty event to happen. And when it does,
NONE
WILL be able to SHUT THEM UP. And it will be more than two individuals
guaranteed!
It will be also fulfilling Daniel 11:32-35. Many giving understanding
others. And like in DAniel, many will believe for protection, realising they
are part of the two witnesses prophecy.
Jesus said in John
Joh 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works
that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do;
because I go unto the Father.
and the anointing is the Holy Spirit in the Temple of God, which each
individual is. Paul says each is seated in heavenly place with Christ Jesus,
surely that is in God presence inside and out?
So because these people will rise up, and love not their lives unto death,
have the blood of Jesus, and their personal testimony, they will be
empowered and protected as Daniel's friends in Daniel 3 from the furnace
where their hair was not even singed, yet those which threw them into the
furnace perished because of the heat.
Note the parellel that they did not bow to worship the statue of the king of
babylon.
The statue of the beast is coming soon. The two witnesses do a preemtive
holy warfare with non violence, but spiritual power flowing from them as the
glory of God, and those which cannot stand in the light are judged, as if in
God's presence or an angels presence. If they have evil in their hearts they
shall be consumed by fire/glory.
All can do as Moses and Elijah, if they have the revelation that it is
possible. Like Peter on the water, if you doubt you sink. If you believe you
have everything.
Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on
the stand; and it shineth unto all that are in the house.
Mat 5:16 Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
