Hello,
Take your money and get out of there.
Tell your congressmen to get you a special financial write-off
on your very next Tax Return. Remember that the Lord Jesus said
houses ought to be built in the rocks. Low river land is ideal for farming
with its free fresh water irrigations. They knew that land was below the
normal Mississippi River level all the time. That land is farm land.
Wisdom would leave the streets already covered with deep mud, burn off the
diseased wood, and after Winter plow the new farmland and grow nice crops.
More wisdom is to dynamite the present levees to let the river find
its own natural level; and never worry about it again. Rhode Island, one
example, has many bridges connecting the hills. Are they smarter than you?
