Tom Harpur (Thomus Harpus) gets my vote as the most ridiculous person alive.
The guy writes books and newpaper columns about how
Christianity is "mythos" and that Jesus didn't even necessarily exist.
You have evidence to the contrary? Let's see it...
He is like the goons that come here and tell us over and over
about what they *don't* believe. What a joke.
While you tell us all about what you do believe, and that's pretty
laugable too.
The genious will read one book and then use it to dispel another book.
That's called scholarship.
First it was the Bible and now Josephus.
Your point?
What kind of mentality says that everyone who believes in God is delusional.
It's a logical deduction. The alternative is that some of the many who
believe in a God are right, and we have to guess which ones with no
evidence to work with.
I would have to say that the most mentally unstable people these days are
the god-haters and deniers.
I would say that you're prejudiced.
It is quite one thing to say "you weren't around 2000 years ago so you don't
know" but it is quite another to say "that definitely didn't happen 2000
years ago and anyone who believes it is delusional".
Have you looked at the evidence? Specifically --your Bible--?
Ironic, but those who accuse us of being delusional are exactly the ones who
are delusional.
When we're the ones with the evidence and you aren't?
