Tongues have not ceased you say ? Only those saved by works ever talk such jibberish... |
it can't possibly be taught to a Pentecostalist that all their signs
and wonders, falling over backwards, faking tongues, dreaming dreams
and visions and having the Lord Jesus appear to them are the results
of their will worship conditional gospel... it makes them feel good to
think they're part of the elect by these long ago ceased events.
chasing after signs and wonders have not shown them that preaching a
salvation by condition filling gospel results in no salvation at all.
the knowledge of God is in Scripture, not in some kind of vision;
in Scripture.
they've carefully followed the pretense that signs and wonders
verify salvation... all the while the very Bible they claim to know
all about says to the contrary... such as Joh. 16:14..
" He ( the Holy Spirit ) shall glorify Me; for He shall take of
Mine, and shall disclose it to you. "
glorifying Jesus Christ is not even part of what Pentecostals and
their spin off denominations are all about. these chase after signs
and wonders... they have no sanctified concept of the trustworthiness
of Holy Scripture as opposed to their stage performer minister's.
... for example, a woman named Agnes Ozmen in her Methodist
Episcopal church brought about speaking in tongues only a century ago
when she blasted out jibberish during one of their ecstasy meetings
designed to chase after signs rather than glorify Jesus Christ. women
are not allowed by God to speak in church ( 1 Cor. 14:34. ) neither
should they be attending Bible studies where men are present. ( 1
Cor. 14:35 )
and if this is unagreeable to men and women of the Pentecostal
persuasion its because of 1 Cor. 14:37,38.
women speaking out in church is part and parcel of the Pentecostal
movement. they wouldn't have it any other way. they're countered the
Word of God with emoional hysteria... it fells good + I'm in church =
chasing after signs and wonders.
