"Trickle" resurrection |
No doubt many of you have heard of various jokes regarding those
encountering St Peter at the gates of heaven, deciding upon whom are given
entry.
Considering the matter of resurrection upon death, one poster describes a
process that may be described as "trickle" resurrection.
"Trickle" resurrection could probably be best summed up as a "case by case"
ongoing stream of resurrection and judgement upon death, spread out over
time, much like the ongoing new additions to the faithful as born again
believers amongst the living.
As an analogy, this gives the impression of entry into heaven as something
akin to passing through customs and processing at an international airport,
in a queue like fashion, with ongoing flights continually bringing in more
people.
"Trickle" resurrection therefore does not require a "final" or
comprehensive mass judgement, but neither does it necessarily exclude the
possibility.
Scriptures and conclusions, implications and assessments, whether for,
against, neutral or inconclusive are sought.
Let the discussion begin...

What does the book say about eternal life (aka... resurrection)?
John 8:51 (KJV)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall
never see death.
1st John 5:13 (KJV)
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the
Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye
may believe on the name of the Son of God.
John 12:25 (KJV)
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in
this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
A sense of pseudo intellectualism is when you think you know it all.
