He made'em so he could more easily see who was a true
Christian and who professed to be a Christian but lived by hatred
and intolerance. Those simply chase away others who may
have been Christians without their messages of hate and their
judgemental attitudes.
You have hit on a VERY important point.
Suppose that it IS necessary for a person to accept Jesus
as personal Savior IN ORDER to attain eternal life. (The Bible
teaches that, and as a Christian, I believe that it likely is the
case, for people who have heard the gospel message. For those
who die without ever having heard it, I believe that a loving God
would likely provide another means of having a chance, although
the Bible doesn't provide any details about how He might choose
to do that.) In America, and in other countries where Christianity
has a significant presence, it would be almost impossible to go
through life without at least knowing about Jesus.
So one really must wonder just how many thousands -- and
probably even millions -- of the world's nearly 7 billion people --
people have been totally turned OFF on Christianity as a result of
seeing how utterly loathsomely (and irrationally!) hateful and
intolerant a very noisy group of people CLAIMING to be Christians
is. It is not just possible; it is PROBABLE -- that the RRR Cult has
managed to cause countless numbers of people to miss out on
eternal life in this manner. Normal and sensible christians tend to
be NON-obnoxious, fair-minded and tolerant people, and thus are
VERY low-profile, compared to the wacko and hateful antics of the
PSEUDO-Christians and DELUDED Christians of the "Religious"
Radical Right, who have besmirched the name of Christianity,
worldwide, and have given society such a damaging false impres-
sion of Christianity.
So -- 'way to go, RRR cult loons. Your hatefulness has not only
tarnished the image of a great and loving faith, AND the One who
died for all of us, but you ALSO have totally wrecked Jesus' prime
directives to His followers... to love and show compassion to our
neighbors, AND to spread the gospel. Thanks to YOU, there are
millions of people around the world who'd sooner attend a rat fight
than have *anything* to do with Christianity.
The Bible teaches that in the Latter days, there will be false
teachers and false doctrines which will delude many. And by
golly, it was right!! NO false teacher or false doctrine worth its
salt, hoping to delude people, would present himself/itself as
such. It would do EXACTLY as YOU have done: make all of
Christianity **appear** to the world to be hateful and intolerant,
by having a high profile while PRETENDING to be Christian.
